that's fine, but you honestly believe he was offered 400K by Souths??..

I heard on the grapevine that there was no souths offer at all and that they just went with it to squeez as much as they can out of Parra.

I heard differently.
Although the offer definitly wasn't as detailed in the media (5 year contract, qorth bout 350-400 year).
Hayne i can guarantee was heavily chased by souths, my mates gf who is the grand daughter of George Piggins and knows Manoa Thompson reckons Souths went all out to nab Hayne.
Believe what you wont, but thats just my 2 cents from what i have heard along the grapvine.

I know for a guaranteed fact that there was on offer from souths, and that offer was more than what he is on now.

your right.
If Hayne was to sign anywhere else apart from Parra at the end of next year i'd put my money on Souths more so then union. His dad is a very passionate souths man, and would love nothing more then for Hayne to wear there no. 1

old mate josh, in the inu won't quit or whatever it's called thread.

and it's not the first time i've heard that figure, it's the most common figure i've heard for inu, and it's the first time i've seen it reported.

correction it was in the bulldogs chasing mateo and inu thread

SNIFFING a reshuffle at Parramatta, the Bulldogs are tracking the scent of Eels stars Feleti Mateo and Krisnan Inu. Although both players are contracted until the end of next season, Bulldogs figures have made clandestine inquiries about the pair's availability to switch clubs in 2010.
Parramatta recently signed representative props Justin Poore and Shane Shackleton to big money deals, and are also scouting Craig Wing.
The spending spree has increased speculation the Eels will shed players to relieve cap pressure.. Inu could be granted a release if a rival club bought-out a large chunk of his $275,000-a-season salary.
The Bulldogs are on the look-out for a goal-kicking three quarter to replace Hazem El Masri, who is expected to announce his retirement today. But while Inu is on the Belmore club's radar, Mateo tops their wish list.
"If Parramatta did have to move Feleti to fit other players, then we'd love to have him," a Bulldogs insider said.
The Eels were last night adamant Mateo would never be released.

I dont know - what are YOU earning ???
Dont mean to be rude but I reckon the earnings of the players are private.

mate who and where you have sex with someone and how many people in the room is also private but this gets splashed all over papers everyday.

when you are a public figure you loose you privacy, now im not arguing if it should be this way or not, but in reality it is.

In sports like the ESL, NBA, baseball and american football they make it public about monies earned by players. If it was published what players were paid then it would make the whole situation more transparent IMO. I am all for having published salaries because it would be less likley that what the bulldogs did in 02 would happen again.

Maybe they should be but they aren't private. They are splashed all over the news when a big new contract is signed.

privacy should be respected whether you are a public figure or not, to say you lose all privacy when you ply a certain trade is just silly.

Thats right but Im sure Im not the only person to disagree with the practice.

The only person that the clubs have to satisfy is Ian Shubert and his team of auditors and the tax man.
Transparent for whom ? Are we, the public, the watchdogs on how much each and every footballer earns ?
There is no way I would like everyone out there to know what I earn.

P.S. Dont worry - just being a little precious. I still think that it should be private but thats just not the way of the world.

I know for Fact JT did everything he can to sign Hayne.

Inu was chased heavily by Souths and Bulldogs.

But Inu and Hayne both Increased there income in 2008. As there old contracts Ran out in 2007.

Its know fact that Mateo, Inu and Hayne took less money to stay at Parramatta.

You all should think If one leaves will the Others go. The answer to that is yes. If Inu is Pushed out Next season as Some reports Suggest. MATEO AND HAYNE Will Follow and I believe the Bulldogs has set on getting all Three.

Bulldog Offical are wanting all three in there books for 2011.

Inu - To replace El- Majeri
Mateo - To replace Ryan
Hayne - To replace Pattern.
