did anyone else think kimmorley made a lot of bad decisions in our game vs the poms ?

i thought he was a bit of a hog and didn't look like much compared to gower. also thought scott hill was ordinary, i was a bit reserved at lockyer going from fullback to 5/8 - but i think it's clear he's the best 5/8 we got.

and where were our forwards in the last 20 minutes !?!

A hog alright. He should not be near the Aussie team. On form I would have Orford and Hill in the halves. But Hill was poor and our forwards were outplayed in the last 40. Lockyer is probably the best option at 5/8 we have.

im so glad we didn't sign him !! he does well under chris anderson because he's used to a flat attack. but gee, with a deep attacking formation, he pretty much does crap all.

I don't blame Kimmorley for his game, i blame Scott Hill who didn't take the pressure of him at all.

The Brits contained him.

I thought Kimmorley was alright....very good kicking game.....he did hog it a bit, but at least he takes on the line - he needed a support runner alot of times and didn't get it.

I've got a gripe with Willie Tonga's defense....yeah he's a good attacking player, but he's been found wanting in defense MANY times on this tour....another try was scored by his poor marking up today.....don't get me wrong, I would like to have him still in a Parra jersey after sooky boy's departure, but Tonga has some serious defensive flaws

Helpful? You're calling that performance helpful?

Oh wait...

Disregard. My brian seems to have stopped co-operating with my eyes.

Some desfensive flaws. If Tahu and Burt were labelled the worst defensive pairing in the league. He would worsen it. The teams have contained him very well anyways.

Yeay I agree with you there strider, he (Tonga) is just not ready for that level yet. He be dangerous at club level and break the line week in week out but I have yet to see him do it at test level. I also dont agree with having Berrigan there. Tate should be playing there along with Cooper in the centres. And ofcourse Carrol, everyone knows he shouldnt be there.

the forwards disapeared as they kept rotating them all so fast that none got a chance to get into the game, omely was absolutely ripping it up and he pulls him off..then throws him back on later on #-o same with hindy, ryan, fitzy and mason
who got rotated like crazy

hill is a great player ive just never seem him prove himself at a higher level then club.

Our halves were the let down - no creativity or links with the other players.

Our tries only came from kicks, and as people have said there were a lot of running around in big arcs with noone else knowing what was doing, or running off either of them. #-o

Kimmorley and Hill looked like two guys with individual skills, but no knowledge of team play (like Mr Dykes).

Hopefully Lockyer and/or Gower are fit for the final and can take back their rightful poistions.

Kimmorley was terrible in the second half. We had so much field position when we were down 18-12 and he created shit all. His last tackle options were pretty average and he kept taking on the line despite the fact he couldn't break it. Hill was even worse, I was expecting much more from him

Hill and Kimmorley were playing for their places and rather than combining with who was already there they tried to continue the partnership they had when they were at the Mariners and Storm. The team looked a whole lot better with Wing at 5/8.....

Wing would be a lot better than either of them. I personally dont like him but against the Poms he has the speed to create a lot of attacking opportunity,

How the Hell can Bennett justify Berrigans spot, when you have 2 specialist centres in the squad who would have to be up in the top 5 centres in the world? And as I said in a thread in the International Forum, I would have liked Bowen on the bench instead of a forward when 1) Hindy, Fitzgibbon and Ryan are 80 minute players, and 2) our attack has been nothing to write home about (in fact, it's been pretty piss poor all series), and Bowen is one player who can spark something electric?
