Big losses for sure but we do have depth in both positions.

For JWH - Napa and Evans to start and Matagai should come into the squad on the bench. Moa is expected back in Rnd 26.
Pearce - obviously Jacko slots straight in. Not quite at the level of Pearce (yet) but he has proven himself with a good game last night and also against the Warriors and Knights. Thankfully Maloney is in good form and he run the show.

Yes but I think the comp is wide open now, probably the most it has been in years.

When you throw SKD into that list as well (who I think has been in our top 5 players this year) then arguably we are down 3 of our top 5 take that out of any team and they would struggle. will be a hell of an achievement if we can do it.

If its not us or the cows my money would be on the dogs if they can maintain the rage. Broncs don't have the pack, Souths will depend on how well GI can play on one leg, Sharks are the Sharks, and Melbourne might jag a Major Semi.

Out of those 6 I would like to see JT get up and win a comp.... only Qlder I can stand.... barely...

We've been missing SKD mainly for his dummy half running and early hit-ups. Elliot has been very good under the ball and finishing but doesn't have the physical impact as SKD.

The only positive is that the pressure is off now (externally at least). We are no longer expected to win the comp and if anything, it will fire the boys up internally that everyone thinks the rest aren’t good enough to do it on their own.

I like Robbo’s approach, no excuses! With our remaining talent we are more than capable of winning the comp and Pearce will probably be back when it matters anyway.

The number 1 focus now needs to be winning in week 1 of the finals, if we do that I reckon we have a really good chance to win the comp.

I've had a few looks today for news on all those fronts. At the moment the media is going with the comments Robbo made after the game so no actual news yet.

Hopefully both are not as serious as first thought.

As for SKD, no idea.

I reckon we'll have both Manly and Souffs measure, even with a depleted side. if we don't win them both, then so be it. The important thing is how the boys react to adversity. Must continue to keep plugging away for the full 80, exactly how we played against Broncs.

Robbo will invoke the siege mentality and they should respond in kind.

Manly having lost to the Eels have nothing to play for so it'll be interesting how we handle that.

What puts me at ease is the way they responded when we lost Peacey and JWH against the Broncos. If we can maintain that intensity we'll dust most teams.
