Hey guys
I'm a student at the University of Wollongong and as part of an assessment I am currently doing, I am getting the great opportunity to work with a club in the NRL and their marketing department in order to increase sales of regional memberships in the Wollongong and South Coast (down to about the Shoalhaven).
Now this thread is to see what would get a NRL fan living 100km or more away from their home teams stadium to buy a country or regional membership. Pretty much it means, what would be of value to you to get you to buy a membership to attend games over 100km away?
Just to give you an idea the ideas that i've heard from people I have talked to so far are:
1. That all regional memberships include a free meal at the leagues club or local resturant before or after the match.
2. That train tickets used to attend matches far away can be taken to the club and you can get the price of the train ticket discounted off club merchandise.
There are no right or wrong answers here. Just what would get you to buy a regional or country membership for your if you do (or you did) live 100km or more away (i.e. something that you as a consumer of Rugby League would value).
