Warren Ryan once said that to win the Grand final you have to have at least 6 internationl reps in your team. At the Sharks, we never had that

Gower, Girdler, Lewis, Clinton, Waterhouse, Gulavao, Puletua =7

A few sides would qualify on that basis. Newcastle,Roosters,Warriors are shoe ins.
Drag Queens-Bailey,Ryles,Barrett,Blacklock(Gasnier?)any more are close.
Broncos would pass too.
There's 6 of your 8.(including Penrith).
Sharks-Vagana,Lomu,Stevens,Kimmorley,Bailey(Peach-super league),Dallalana (Italy?)and hasnt Dumas been selected for someone?
This could get interesting.

Dallalana didn't play for Italy according to the Greece vs Italy match details.

The Grafton Ghosts dont travel too well. If they got Italy at home they could roll them.
Melbourne -Bai(gone)and the other PNG guy(or is he at Manly now),Kearney, Kearns,Hill,Howe-any more?Danny Williams played for Ireland in either a test or 7's.
Parra-Lyons,Vauleki(spell),Hindmarsh???,Vella???.Any More.
Dogs-Mason,Anasta,El Masri(why wasnt O'Meley picked?)Willie Talua,Price????(he should have got a mention too.
These are off the top of my head but Ryan has half the field covered.

Super league/ ARL times don't really count do they.
& I don't think Stevo or Mckenna repped during ET's years did they?

Stevens yes,McKenna Maybe but not an international until later.Sparkles played when Et did if that counts for anything(didnt play with a lot of the others).Richie Barnett is another I remember.(injured and missed the SL GF).

McKenna played Origin, but repped in ET's twilight - ANZAC Test 2000.

And another example of depth & dollars.
If there was one player capable of looking after the pearl, it was Ritchie.
How many tries did the Pearl get in the 97GF?

Three. It was 10-8 up until around the 60th Brisbane's way. Renouf won the game. Barnett would have changed alot of things.

I think I read on here(or the old forum) Dumas was picked for France.will play against the Kangaroos but will still be eligible to play for Oz). Work that out.
How about Milford. Is he an international?

An international joke? From his homeland to France to Australia, he's been making them laugh for years.

I think he's a builder by trade, should have stuck to his day job.

Laloa Milford was our unregistered player,ie if we won we would have lost the points in a game earlier this year. The NRL site still has no details or photo of him.

The dragons also have timmins, (and gasneir, ryles, barrett, bailey, blacklock) but the question is how many times have at least 4 of them played together, let alone all 6 of them   not many times.

Why do Saints Illawarra always have such a good side, but are so mediocre year after year?

Theyre all about trying to scrape into the 8.

I am not sure who is leading the race now.
But who has lost the most GF's in the last 15 or so years?
Chooks, Dragons, Dogs or Manly?

Isn't great that I hate those sides so much.

It is better not to be in them rather than continually lose them.

Broncs have never lost a GF.
