Wayne Bennett's record as Australian coach; 8 Tests - 6 wins - 1 Draw - 1 Loss

It works.

Chris Anderson had a better record, but alot of people disagreed with him now didn't they?

There are 4 Broncos in the team and your complaining? There has always been about 4 Broncos in the aussie side for the last 10 years. About the only one I think shouldn't be there is Berrigan, but then Tonga has been pretty much crap this year also. O'Meley has played how many games? Rooney has been crap for the panthers, Fitzgibbon is seriously out of form, Ryles has been crap this year, Wing has had half a good game all year at best, But I guess it's ok for them to be there.

In a sense, being Aust coach is the easiest job in the world - I could probably coach them to a similar record...

In another, it's a difficult job because no matter who is selected, there will be endless debate. Anderson and Bennet (and many Aust coaches before them) have their favourites... and that can make them unpopular, but it doesn't really matter. The bottom line is - do they keep winning?

too many people just need something to winge about! IMO the current aussie side cant be any better than it is and bennit is definately the best coach for the job. get over this unfair selection BS!

test job might be "Easy" but the coaches put their a$$es on the line each time. If they lose then they cop it unmercifully.
Look at last yrs tri nations, everyone wanted bennett gone because they were playing mediocre, but then when they won 44-4 it was all the players who got the wraps (and rightfully so mind you). Bennett didnt get any accolades (not that he ever asks for them).
Bennett was the one who was the mastermind for the tri series...a highly successful idea.
People say "bronco bias"...puleaseee....4 players in the team. If wayne was that bias he could have put tate in their ahead of Tonga...but nooooooo, Wayne rewarded the players of last yr.
Some people in this world are never happy.

Right, it's a team, not a bunch of All Star individuals. Bennett picks the team that best suits his style. Just like Chris Anderson, Bob Fulton and any other domestic or international coach whos ever had a hand in selection. The last time Bennett trotted out with this team they beat the Poms 44-4. How can you argue with that? No come on seriously, put forth something logical here.

misty bee go play with your hive.
TC is the best lock in australia.....you are just blinded by what other people say. If you took the time to actually watch TC in action a few times then you would change your opinion

nah Charlie he's not the best lock in Australia - but he's right up there... suffice to say he wouldn't be the lock if Bennett wasn't the coach.

In saying that - Bennett picks his teams to win matches.. and has been reasonably good at achieving that over the years - so for us wannabee coaches/players to be arguing the merits of his selections is a bit juvenile really...

Considering he's not even Aussie.....

But as I only have other people's opinions to go on, I'll still choose to ignore yours. ;-)
