... If a current NZ RL selector and former 'Dog legend, Daryl Halligan became invloved with with the new Perth RU side?

Should this be allowed to happen?

Are both codes professional so it is not a problem?

Could players switch between codes during a season?

john Muggleton was a kangaroo tourist 1982 and then became a defensive coach with the Wallabies. No big deal. He actually improved them in tackling.

Who cares what halligan does...he is retired and he has to make a living somehow.
He came from union i think so whooppeee doooo

He cant be a selector if he is coaching union.

At the end of the day...I couldnt care less was Halligan does with his life. But as soon as he take up any post within the NZRL he should not be coaching fulltime in another code.

Yeah Halligan came from Yawnion may have even played for the All Blacks before joining North Sydney then onto the Bulldogs. I'm not even sure if he played a test for the Kiwis (RL).

Even if someone like El Masri when he retires goes and teaches goalkicking to RU players I wouldn't have a huge problem with it.

Goal kicking is the same in union and league so I don't see why he wouldn't help out.
He would only be there as a goal kicking consultant I would imagine. I think he helps out at a few NRL clubs. I heard Clinton Shiff from Canberra got some help from him this year.

i think that frano botica did this too pdb, halligan has been an adviser for a few teams (the blues) and the sooner he goes back to union for good, the better.

Wrong way around. Darryl was a Kiwis International, and only played for Waikato in rugby union, no higher.
