Monkey, he'd be on match payments only, and thus wouldn't count under the cap. That's why there's been a flood of rumours, because every club is technically in a position to get his signature. Of course, his arrogance means he'll only play for a club with a shot at the premiership....

Where do you get that crap?

All match payments (defined as a playing fee) are still counted under the cap!

They do not count under the 2005 cap, they are included in the 2006 cap.

Only in the cap of the following year provided the player remains with the club.

When Mullins played for the Roosters he was on match payments on a per game played basis - which was a pretty good deal. However given that he played so many games, any contract for the following year to keep him at the club would have included the healthy payments he received from the year previous. Hence they couldn't afford to keep him and he subsequently retired.

That's win bonuses and finals bonuses not match payments.

band wagoner? Dude i have been a rooster supporter since i started learning league which was back at the end of 2001 (around finals time)

I mean who would want a player who is a abouslte manic and would just bring the club down to wat happened with danny williams or something alongs the line of that!

Dude, most of us are not too happy with the prospect of Mundane coming to the Roosters, myself included. However, you have to remember the club is bigger than one player. You're obviously too young to remember the whole Fatty Vautin incident we had to live through. We've been through times like this before, we can get through 'em again.

You shouldn't ever turn your back on the club. I wouldn't have turned my back on the dogs if 8 of them went to prison for rape.

What about murder? u gota draw a line somewhere...and if that lady who got raped was your daughter, sister or cousin would u still follow them? the dogs arent gods!

and dude your arguing with a guy who's been following the roosters since he was 10 effectively. and basically saying that the dogs are above the law

and the fact that ppl like u continue to follow ppl regardless of their actions, gives these players the heads that they have.

if that happend to the roosters, i personally wouldnt support the existing club until key members of the club were axed!! because thats what a club is.. just a group of people following a team and the team is a group of people...unless everything was done by the club to keep the players out of trouble.

I heard that Mundine was coming back to say he represented Australia in 2 sports, or some such crap! So all we'll hear in 2007/8 is how racist the ARL is for not selecting him over the white boy Darren Lockyer!

Ego aside, Mundine would be a handy signing for any side. The man has talent. However, you get the whole package.

IN the end, he's just another speed bump for Nathan Hindmarsh!

wats the worse that could happen...give it a go i say

the worst that could happen is that his stonking huge ego beats up on the team spirit and his incessently talking about himself sucks the oxygen out of the air and the rest of the players suffocate.
