Huge wrap on Parramatta Eels' 17-year-old Bevan French

Robson into the Ones is a must. Would allow the backline to revert back to its original positions. Would also improve our bench and take massive pressure off Norman. Its a no brainer for mine.
French back to the Twos as fullback until needed. No denying French's talent but the current negatives, particularly playing wing, cancel the positives. Next year is his time.

I guess we'll see. But if Gordon plays the rest of the year at fullback it doesn't mean you know more than Brad Arthur.
And who's saying that??? Why bother having an opinion on an internet forum then??

That right you don't care about the club winning premierships or that we are cheating just as long as we win each week

Pou's just looking for a fight, because his election team suffered the indignity of a draw, rather than the expected easy win .

Plenty of guys who couldn't defend for shit, or offer good forward, have had long careers playing first grade on the wing.

Not recently they haven't. The modern game is very different to years past. How many wingers are there under 90 kilos? At the moment, about one.

First I've heard about it. I've been voting long enough to know whichever party's in power has minimal influence on my life. No matter who wins there will always be f**kwits like you crowing about it. Followed shortly by whinging that your life still sucks.

Hayne wasn't a liability on the wing. He was strong in defence and offered good go forward. French is a great finisher but costs us in other areas. He is not a winger.

I think his defence is pretty good on the wing for an inexperienced player, playing out of position. A lot of the over laps isn't really his fault.

But French is poor at rucking it out. I reckon BA won't drop him as he wants a finisher on that side.

I'd say his positives far outweigh the negatives. Safe under the high ball, blistering speed and fantastic finisher. Taikarangi at five eighth with Gutherson in the centres and French on the wing is the best setup for the team right now IMO. What would you suggest instead?

Robson to the halves, need two kicking options. Plus someone who knows how the defend in the halves. KE probably cost us several tries last night due to his inexperience defending in the halves

The question is whom do you drop after Takairangi and Robson come into the side? Edwards can move into the forwards to free up one spot, but that still leaves one guy to miss out. I doubt it will be Gordon. Or Radradra, Jennings, Takairangi or Gutherson.

See, just looking for a fight as suspected ;-).

This was Bevan French's first election, yet you take it all so lightly...

Yeah it's likely to be French.

Yeah I can't work out how to fit them all in, and I doubt Taka will go to the bench. Maybe French could go to the bench, but that's unlikely.

I would drop Gordon and put who ever BA has planned to play fullback for next year. Will give them some experience and time to work out combos for next year. Gordon can play wing if there is an injury. But I am sure BA has plenty of reasons not to do that.

I think Bevan French will be a great fullback, and I'm looking forward to seeing him next year. But I won't be surprised if he gets dropped soon.

Alvaro had some massive games last season when introduced to the Ones. It didnt stop BA preferring more experienced props once they became available. Hard to argue with BAs reasoning on that occasion as Alvaro is definitely developing into a first class prop.
In BA we trust. (Except for signing Jennings. Lol)

Yeah I was surprised at the Jennings signing. Not that he'd even be on overs, but that we didn't need a centre worth that much. Anyway, he's improved our left side defence but hasn't really been an improvement on Takairangi, as far as attack goes.

After his performance last night, I'd hope the club re-assesses his "wellbeing" and gives him time off footy to focus on the requirements of his legal case.

The team would likely be better off too, if he's going to rturn in performances like that, off the back of thinking he's too good to turn up for training.

How? It's only a hearing on Tuesday. Semi pleads not guilty and walks out until likely a trial early next year

+1. Semi will out on bail too, so he'll need to surrender his passport. ;-)

Roosters will be without Blake Ferguson & Aidan Guerra who I expect will be on origin duty, however Boyd Cordner is due back. Latrell Mitchell went off with a knee injury and is no sure thing playing Friday.

Jenkovic also out for origin ?

1. Flash
2. Semi
3. Taka
4. Gutho
5. French
6. Normz
7. Robbo
8. Wicks
9. IDG
10. Timmy
11. Ma'u
12. Scott
13. Tepai

14. Edwards
15. Gower
16. Terapo
17. O'Brien

Crap, forgot about that - Semi will definitely play then.

Especially given the NRL have indicated our fate may not be know for a fortnight...

Next week's result depends on how well we bounce back from having our early lead over the comp leaders run down to come away with a loss. Arthur - weave your magic!

I reckon Jennings has played his last rep game.
Bird and Morris NSW centers for sure. Wingers will probably be Mansour and Moylan given Tedesco will be fullback and rightly so.
