Brother, whether I am walking down the streets of London , Texas , New York or Queenbeyan I am always asked , "Hulkster brother, what was your greatest match brother?" , and when I look at the man who just asked me brother I think to myself "Whats the answer Hulkamania?" and I just do not know brother. But I cant stare this hulkamaniac, a member of the greatest force in the universe back and say brother that I dont know. I tell him to train hard, and to believe, and to say his prayers , eat his vitamins and believe that just your average american can do whatever he strives too.

Hulkamania will live forever brother.

Hogans greatest matches.....Goldberg? Andre? Rock?

Either of them.

But Hopefully he gets his ass handed to him by the Rattlesnake at Wrestlemania 22.

Randy Savage.

Savage could make anyone look incredible. All time wrestling legend is the Macho Man in my book.

None. Any match involving that damn glorified leg drop and point is pure crap. But if I had to pick one Id saw WM18 against the Rock - Rock carried his ass the whole way.

Perhaps Paranoir, although its worth remembering the bloke is in his 50s, and has an artificial hip.

He never has been a great wrestling technician, but someone ( I believe BBSF) said not long ago sometimes being a great technical wrestler is somewhat overrated. People still usually go for believability in some respect, and a 300 pound bloke with 24 inch pythons was always believable.

And while he didn't pull off many big moves, there are a few reports that he was actually quite the in ring performer particularly in New Japan where he was reverred for his in ring ability. I also understand he was quite proficient in the AWA.

lol, I'm not saying he can't wrestle. I'm just saying I hate seeing the impending Leg Drop whenever he wrestles :p

He has to be able to have some wrestling ability to have been successful as he has been

The Rock or Ultimate Warrior for mine.

I'll go with the rock since I remember watching that at my neighbours and it was just amazing watching it live... on TV.

The match against the UM I was a lil younger so I cant remember it to well, but that had a great atmosphere aswell.

The Ultimate Warrior one was a classic cause they were probably two of the biggest faces of the early nineties and the fact that both titles were on the line made it more special...And am I right in saying that it was probably the first mania he lost at?

At Wrestlemania 4 myself and Andre The Giant had a double disqualification. Wrestlemania 6 was the first time I was beat fairly at a pay per view.

I've not seen all those matches, but of the ones of seen the one Vs the Rock was the best in my mind.
I'm surprised neither the WWE nor WCW ever had him in a match with Bret Hart.

Because they wouldnt have been able to make it believeable that Hogan could actually beat Bret Hart. Thatd be the biggest farce in History.

I can't believe they didn't match up after the Hogan/Yokozuna/Bret Hart swerve at Wrestlemania.

Paranoir, it'd be akin to chucking in Bret Hart v Andre the Giant. Hulk was viewed as an impressive physical speciman, ala Bobby Lashley style now. It'd be highly believable for Hulk Hogan to win. The thing is, if it was Chris Benoit v Hogan I don't know if Benoit have the story telling in ring capabilities to make it believable, Bret Hart though did against practically anyone - small, big, giant, luchadore, it didn't matter.

Bret wouldve had it all over Hogan. No storyline could be made to make u believe otherwise. Unless Hogan ran him over with a few trucks.

I beg to differ. I think Hulk's sheer physique at his peak gave him the look of a champion.

Yes, but that also raises the question of when Hulk was in his peek, was Bret aswell? Bret was still finding his feet imo when Hogan was at his peek.

Even IMO if you pitted both at their peaks, Hulkamania was a massive phenomona, he had the look, he had the charisma, if you looked at them before they locked up you'd expect Hulk Hogan to win.

Bret Hart IMO is the best wrestler I've ever seen, but I'd expect Hulk to win.

There is no way shape or form that Brett Hart ever came out on top of Hulk Hogan at any point in his career. Hogan vs Hart did actually happen in WCW at a few house shows. On TV, the feud was set to happen when Brett Hart walked down the aisle on one of the Nitro's attacked some cruiserweights, grabbed the microphone, and stated the immortal words "I came back for one reason, as i have one regret..... I want to wrestle Hulk Hogan.

I cant remember why the match never happened on PPV to be honest.

It is impossible to consider The Hitman going over a prime Hogan. Hulkamania was 10 times as big as Brett Hart ever was. Hart was a good wrestler, so was Hogan anyone who says otherwise doesnt know wrestling. Hart's best chance of beating Hogan is a match in Canada and if they had one more match at a pay per view there it would be huge as a face vs Face, but i think the fans would boo Hart, and Hogan should get the win, even there.
