As per the title, I hear about a geographical divide that determines whether you are a FC or KR supporter. Where is the divide?

Disclosure, family history research finds a Great Great Grandmother being born in Hull. Today I've found in the birth index the only one for the same name and year that's in the approx right place is listed as being born at Sculcoates (?) . No great importance to this except for a bit of fun.

So.... Is Sculcoates FC or KR ?

Divide is defined by the East and west of the River Hull! West hull is Hull FC territory, East hull is Hull KR. Sculcoates is an area north of the city centre, mostly on the west side of the river though sculcoates lane crosses the river and includes some of the East bank. So you can take your pick lol!

Cheers guys. The other 2 English born I've found are easy. One being sentenced from Salford and the other from Hammersmith. So Salford & London.

Years ago this was an easy question to answer. Hull FC was west of the river Hull and Rovers were east of the river. In the 1960s Hessle road, a Hull FC territory, was redeveloped and families were rehoused on the Bransholme estate in the east of Hull. Sculcoates is in the north but west of the city and would have been Hull FC. The lines are a bit more blurred these days. Glad to have you aboard RV, you just need to ditch those red and white colours as soon as possible.

Sculcoates Lane in the east is virtually all industrialised although it may have been residential when RV's rellies lived in the Sculcoates area of the city.

Cheers DP,

yeah I'm guessing the area has changed a bit - we're talking pre Northern Union times :)

So I've got the Super League covered, Salford, London, Hull FC and Catalan... The rest are all Irish so without ESL representation. :)
