Hypothetical

Dogs can't shed players, Foran and Woods contracts aren't registered so they are on the market again

Would you offer Foran a new deal at the Warriors, and if so, at what price ?

I've no doubt Doyle would go hard for him again, and I'm sure if he was shown enough money that gotta get back to Sydney thing would be easily forgotten.

Interested to see what the Warriors fans opinions would be now

f**k no.

His body is shot, for starters. His family is in Sydney, for seconds. Our forwards will suck even more, for thirds. His price will be higher, for fourths. And so on and so on and so on.

I haven't liked anything from Kieran since about round 6.

Based on what Ive seen from $600k Foran this year, if I was in charge he would leave us anyway because I would offer him a much lesser amount for 2018. Whilst he showed us glimpses of why clubs pay him so much, he very much looks like he is well in his twilight years. Like the others have said - we have Ata and our money needs to be spent on 'go forward'.

You know they will, or pay overs for Eastwood
He's overrated and I know he's got some fans on here that call him "Beastwood". Beast my ass, he's just Gregory. He was only good for a short period of time. I aint seen any great plays from him in the last 2 years.

I am sure we can go Full genius again and sign him on a 4 year deal. Flights to Sydney to see Whanau. Ata has a good future if he develops well in this Mickey Mouse Club

Yeah. Have to agree. But jeez the Dogs will dodge a bullet if the are over their cap and the NRL won't register his transfer.

Clearly we need a complete rebuild and look to the future. Foran is short-term fix (and hasn't been a good one). No way we should contract him again unless for peanuts, but some other club will definitely pick him up for a solid amount.

Our recruitment policy needs to be firm in not buying old expensive players. Way too much downside for what you pay. NRL players tend to decline quite quickly unless super motivated and physically in great shape. By all means pick up experienced warhorses - but never for serious coin. We have to rebuild our roster strategically and for the long-term. I can live with a year or two (more) of poor on-field results if we are strategically moving toward success. There are no short-term fixes for the warriors.

Big nope.

He was a risk signing, I said that prior to the season starting. Unfortunately, for one reason or another it hasn't worked out. He has looked unfit and tired a lot of the time but to be fair, his forwards didn't lay him a platform that he could excel with.

Given we have Ata and Lino waiting on the wings, I'd rather we stuck with those guys, and use any $$$ and first grade spots towards forwards.

Woods, on the other hand, I would happily take.

I would keep him, class is permanent.

BUT the facts are that he is leaving to be with his kids so I don't think it would ever happen.

Is it? Is Kieran Foran class? I have Manly friends and Parra friends, neither of whom think Kieran Foran is classy. And as a Warriors fan, I have my doubts. Good player, great player on his day, no doubt. And popular team-mate, by the looks. But this champion bloke tag, I'm not saying it's wrong but I have my doubts as do other fans. Think Beavers said a similar thing, even to his credit he said (or another Manly fan did) that DCE was the better keep and Foran had too much other stuff he brought - injuries, Eddie Hayson etc.

Plus his body is f**ked, he's like a reverse Tampax - in for three weeks, out for one. That's sad for him, I'm not trying to be derogatory at all. Just he has hammys, backs, all those interconnected muscles going every couple of rounds. I don't think the Dogs will get too much out of him.

You shut the hell up with your common sense. It's not welcome around these parts.

Given the chance pretty clear Foran is central to the process, would be great if he could turn back the clock, but a lot of evidence suggests that isn't happening
