BK is copping it from everyone at the moment, hate to be him.

Simon and Macca should add to that misery next week :sarcasm:

Another week another goal keeping f**k up (or 2) :(

the only one he really f**ked up was the one where it just got lobbed over his head I reckon. One of them was a second shot and the other he came out and was just unlucky... although come to think of it, he did come out pretty slowly.

It's funny, Chris Greenacre only has 2 goals thus far this season and one of them was a howler of an error from Kennedy. He is deadset dreadful.

I agree with the previous posts about expansion.....it is a bad idea when teams are already struggling to get crowds over 7000-10000 with consistency.

Newcastle didn't get the result against Melbourne but they were the better team in the second half. Ali Abbas is a sick little player with a lot of promise and the Jets were unlucky with Haliti's header hitting the crossbar. That would have been the turning point that would have paved the way for a win later in the game. By the way, what is with Kennedy's haircut? Is it meant to match his poor performances? LOL

Perth got the rough end of the stick with the crap offside decision.......but then again, it happens all the time so I'm not too disappointed. While they are getting the points, Mitchell doesn't seem to have the ability to turn this team into a great team which is disappointing.

Haha, he can now afford his own.

Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of goalkeeping talent in Australia.

Just look at Liam Reddy, Griffin McMaster, Tando Velaphi, Ben Kennedy, John Henderson, etc.......not great at all.

I don't think expansion has anything to do with the lower crowds. The sad fact is, the majority of clubs have zero idea about how to relate to and recruit a fanbase, the quality of football is vastly inferior to what people can watch on television, and every game is live on Foxtel - offering zero reason for fans to pay the cash to go out and see the game in their home city.

I don't mind going along, it's generally a good afternoon/evening. Asides from the game against the Mariners the actual on field action is decent enough along with a few beers with a few mates and it's worth the effort IMO.

Clearly not that many agree with me though.. :)

RE: Some of the earlier posts, sure, BK hasn't been a standout this year and has had a few poor performances, but don't forget the ball's got to get past 10 other players before it reaches him ...

Danny Vukovic on the other hand

A-League should just blow itself apart right now. I'd only have these clubs compete.

1. Brisbane
2. Wellington
3. Sydney
4. Melbourne
5. Adelaide
6. Perth

A six team comp. The standard would be so much better than the slop served to us almost every match.

The standard has definitely dropped from last season right across the board.

You're obviously talking out of your ass, Roger. How many A-League games have you actually watched? Not only has the standard gone up on last year (which was easily the worst of the A-League seasons). You say 'the slop they serve us every match' like you've watched every match. Coming from someone who has watched every game - it's apparently the standard is definitely up on previous years. In fact, the only side I'd say is dragging the standard down is my own.

I agree, for the most part it is much better this year.. In saying that i'd watch 2-3 games a weekend only depending if the Roar are at home or not.

6 team A-League?

I don't think the comp should continue expanding but fair dinkum, down to 6? You're joking.

The standard of the A-League this year is better than any previous year IMO.

We've got better quality imports (ie Branko Jelic played in the Bundesliga last year FFS) and more Australians returning from Europe like Jason Culina, Jacob Burns, Mile Sterjovksi.

The fact we've had players like that come to the A-League, and while play well NOT dominate says something good is happening with the quality.

It's jokers who only know the EPL who continually talk down the quality. It's not the strongest league, but it's not the worst and it's our league....

See Bushy, maybe it's my own bias coming to the fore here, but I actually don't think the Jets are playing that bad of a style of football. I mean, sure, we're equal last with the Fury, but IMO our attacking play is rather good to watch, we're just having issues scoring goals ...
