He's not the one on the field playing like a softcock girl...

No, but he is the bloke who consistantly has you playing an ugly unattractive style of football that has seen young talent like Matt Simon regress.

He is a one dimensional manager, two seasons in a row CCM have fallen in a heap after Christmas and he hasnt been able to change it up.

I think you need a new manager and new ideas. Someone who will play a fast, open style of football rather than a dour, physical one dimensional game. The signing of McBreen is an omen that next year, under McKinna nothing will change.

McKinna is old school with old school ideas.

Give Paul Okon the gig.......

McKinna's managed to get us to 3 finals series out of 5, that's nothing to scoff at IMO. Let the final year run on his contract and see what happens.

At the end of the day it's the blokes out on the park who make things happen, I don't think they've been putting in the required effort.

Don't get me wrong - I'm critical of lots of McKinna's tactics (hanging off players in defence rather than pressuring, the pass-back in attack that seems to dominate most our time in possession), but I don't think "sack the coach" is something that's needed to be yelled.

BUt the same thing happened last year, how many games did you win after Christmas?

Then again this year, you've fallen in a heap and McKinna has shown he doesn't have the nous to mix it up. The buck has to stop with him sometime.

Just making the finals isn't an achievement when 50% of the teams involved make it.

It's not just tactics, I think McKinna has recruited poorly. Thats not hindsight either as I've said all year I thought they'd finish closer to the bottom than top.

You get relatively small crowds up at Gosford, partially understandable this year beause of your finish to the year last year and your crap year this year, but I wonder if the crowds would be better if you played more football, rather than relied on the physical?

No idea... but as I said there's no point sacking him now with two games left, and given his reasonable record I'm prepared to let him see out his contract from a supporters perspective. If we suck next season as well then we don't renew him.

We could be in Perth's position... first finals series in how long?

Two games.

Sack him then and give the gig to an up and coming manager like Paul Okon.

What gets him a renewal? Making the finals? Not much of a benchmarck when its 6/10

We could be in Perth's position... first finals series in how long?

You'd love to be in Perths position in 4th spot......;-)

Managed some superb victories actually, including over Melbourne Victory. We're capable of brilliant football under Lawrie, there's no doubt about that.

yeah, but those victories, in reality, count for nothing when you've got your feet up watching the finals on TV.

my last word on ia basically that McKinna did a good job for the firs few years, I'll give him that regardless of what I think of his style. It went to sh*t though when he sold Jedinak last January, went even sh*tter in the ACL and despite bringing in new blood and making some changes it hasnt gotten better.

Thats enough for me (the back end of one a-league season, a failed ACL followed by a failed a-league) to tell me McKinna is past his used by date.

Football is a cut throat sport. More so than league. I hope McKinna gets the arse and new blood comes in and makes some changes (like pissing of dead weight like andrew clarke. ).

you never know, a new manager with fresh ideas, say an emphasis on local youth mixed with experience coupled with an open, attractive style might just be the tonic for central coast football.

or you can stick with the old school stodgy scot and hope things change.......
