I'd say we are a much stronger club now than we were in 2012. Back then we trained at an undersized cricket oval, and our junior recruitment/retention was so poor that our NYC team had just finished 12th, 16th, 12th and 15th. In 2013 we finished 14th. It was until 2014-2017 that our pathways produced any decent youngsters. Just like they are doing now. And how about that CoE! I hope to see it someday. It will be very exciting.
The Tigers have had a COE for the past 3 years and won 3 spoons.

And we made the finals four consecutive years without one. Hardly a fair comparison. They are where we were when we hired Brad Arthur. With less luck we would've been coming off the back of three straight spoons in 2014.

Huge club hey? Mate we are getting there. We needed some big changes made and that's what's happening. It started off the field with increased investment. Nothing happens without resources. The club has a plan and Ryles is part of it. If he turns out not good enough, we will replace him, no doubt. He was brought in to turn over the roster quickly, and that means noses out of joint. Results like today's are a byproduct of that.
