I can not forgive Sheens

I am finding it tough to forgive Tim Sheens for moving Moltzen form halfback.

We won 6 games in a row with Benj and Moltz in the 6 and 7.

Then we have a freaky night with injury losing both wingers after losing our fullback the week before.

But instead (as usual) of bringing in a like for like replacement, he re shuffles the whole squad, brings in a rookie number 7, who is a number 6 in the 20's comp and moves Moltz to fullback.

This and this alone cost us a spot in the semi's.

It rests on his shoulders.

Do not get me started on playing Morris in the 7 for 2 and a half years.

1. Hanbury 2. Collis. 3. Ayshford 4. Lawrence 5. Mullaney/Prichard 6. Marshall 7. Moltzen

this would have served us much better.

The point is we need to make the top 4 not 8- it shouldn't come down to one game to make the semis- if we are consistent when fit we won't need to worry about games when we have the odd injury

Look at thye Dogs- robbed of 4 points and still almost minor prems..... they simply did it by playing at their best every week..something we have never done- even 05 was half a sh*t season

Spot on Bubbles ... an ex Tiger legend said the same thing to me at the gym this morning ... this Tigers legend also said with a wry grin `how can we sack the Australian coach' ... this Tigers legend knows Supercoach is a charlatan

100% agree Bubbles. Look at what Parra are doing from 8th spot - they are well in the race while Mastercoach is probably preparing next seasons media releases about Moltzen's fullback potential and Marshall being the games next big thing in the 7 jumper...

I think if our goal kicking improves next year then we are top 4.

This year we tend to go up in 4's rather than 6's. Since Hazem is retiring the Tigers should get him in to coach some goalkicking.

Bada-Bing-Bada-Boom. Done.

Then if the like-for-like fullback replacement makes his debut and drops every bomb in sight letting in tries you'd want to hang Sheens for having someone with NRL experience at 1.

If Hanbury goes there yeah then he has experience, but Moltzen was the more capable fullback of the two. What I'm saying is the bagging would've came through no matter what Sheens did.

Don't agree at all. Hanbury is every bit as good a fullback as Moltzen, which is not that hard imo.

You gotta love people that know how we'll think whenever a hypothetical would occur, especially those that support other teams.

If TNT and Ryan don't get injured we beat Para and make the semis......Moltzen at 7 or fback wouldn't have made a dif....

If Benji kicks a couple of goals we probably make the semis

Moltzen played his junior football as a halfback and Lawrence played his junior football as a fullback.

So if your a junior tiger cub and you want to play on the wing in the Big League then play your junior rep football in the front row its a guarantee you will get your favored wing spot when you make NRL.....Oh But wait...Sheens wont be there after next year !

Its just as ridiculous as saying we would have made the 8 based on a hypothetical of team selections.

Hanbury at fullback and moltzen at half may have been the better selections but that doesnt guarantee a win.

8th is better than 9th imo, who knows what can happen in the semis?

Using Hanbury as a replacement fullback would not have been a gamble at all, but destroying an important winning halves combination was a MASSIVE unnecessary gamble .

thats the risk you run by not having decent back-up/depth players to cover all positions on the paddock.

You'd think that'd be sorted out by now.

Furthermore, we now have next to no depth whatsoever at fullback after we intelligently let Gallant go. So we've gone from needing a quality halfback and a prop, but also needing a back up fullback.

Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb!
