There was not one cohesive backline move
Price is clueless!!
Fein's timing is so bad he's dangerous
SOWARD IS NOT A 5/8. He's a 1/2 who was moulded into a role to suit Bennett's game plan
Price needs to be sacked (he's had more than 30 chances to show that he can coach at this level)
I'd try Soward at half and any one of about five at 5/8 including Beale
Mostly find a coach that'll can put some structure into the attack
Last night must have been humiliating

Yes, the more I see the more I realise that Price probably cannot coach, no guts in player selections, not giving young guys a run and throwing the ball around willy nilly, I've just about nearly had enough.

game was on the line to be won and we found a way to lose. Even with the opposition down to 12 men, we looked even more clueless at that point.

This!
i have never seen a halfback in one single game throw so many pressure passes to runners or second receivers ... i feel sorry for them knowing they are going to get smashed, or have defenders in their faces every time they try to catch a Fien pass..

this alone is enough evidence for a coach to see that the halfback isnt up to it..
Fien plays on "auto pilot" where he will run the play and throw the pass no matter what is unfolding in front of him.. i was extremely critical of Hornby doing the same thing under Price last season and its quite evident again this season with Fien/Price as well...

Absolutely. This only highlights how uncreative the halves are, let alone steve price. Steve Price has had one season and 2 off-seasons to work on our attack, and it's been the same s*** the whole way through. But don't worry, they'll start executing soon!

Despicable. I've never seen anything like that game before. I won't forget it for as long as I live. I can't get the humiliation out of my head. I would credit the Broncos defence but I can imagine their assessment of our attack... "St George can't play"comes to mind.

I don't care if Weyman is named at half back, if Steve Price puts either Fien at half or Soward at 5/8 next week he deserves to be crucified.

Price is coaching his way to the dole cue even then they won't given him a payment just laugh at his overly large chin.
Mate...

That's cool in here.

But your post in the NRL forum...

Soward is soft afraid to get tackled afraid to run afraid to even be on the field these days some one said at the game when the coach spoke to him he just turned his back if so that shows how childish he is.
Hanging out dirty laundry and all that.

I don't agree that Soward was afraid of getting tackled last night. But that's beside the point.

My question is: where did you hear that Soward turned his back on the coach? Fair question, because it is a pretty serious accusation.

From some one at the game who actually saw it and its not the first time either he's done it either.

I am not accusing him of anything just was told this info by some one who is a regular at Dragons games who saw it and was rather disappointed.

Maybe the rock star attitude is really the truth hard for me to say but people who are regulars to home games and attend training sessions have seen it.

I'm sorry, but that doesn't carry. He was wrongly accused last year. I think it's just someone looking to bag out on Soward.

Written last year by a News Ltd dope. The real truth behind that would surprise you.

Look, either ignore the bs rumours or deathride Soward... because you that's what you want to believe. Totally your choice.

I just get the shits when a fellow supporter gives fuel to opposition supporters. Can only give you my opinion there too. Bad form imo.

Cheers.

Price in the post match said that the effort was good but a few lapses in attack cost us. WTF?
They had the ball for a large part of the game. THere must have been alot of LAPSES?

The guy is deadset clueless. What are they waiting for. I can't see anything changing in 4 weeks, just sack him now.

Agree with Willow. Go mental in Jubilee. Be pissed off in here. But never denigrate the Dragons in the main forum. Blood and bandages brother. We bleed. We heal.

Yeah, I find it hard to fathom. There are certain unwritten rules.

They're usually new to the Red V or just having a bad week - or maybe they were never really with us.

Last time we hit the pits like this I was lucky enough to be at a venue in Brighton on Botany Bay. Lachlan McLean - R2K had just held a function, Langlands, Gasnier and Raper were there. The night served as a springboard to get us back to Kogarah.

Afterwards, we sang "We are the St George Boys". Loud and strong.

IMO, Anyone who thinks we don't bleed together is a complete idiot

Open forum open expression and open opinion wasn't disregarding yours this was a Soward fan who has never death rode him as your where eluding to just told me what they saw.

Me on the other hand see Soward as soft and uninspired he doesn't fill me with any confidence and honestly the money he is on can be better spent elsewhere but that can be said for a few of the players on the team at present.

If it was bad form from me I am not going to apologise he is already disliked by alot of fans from other clubs so his reputation is already tainted.

I hope he comes good for the sake of the team I just don't see it happening and honestly he should just move on.

CD, you are entitled to your opinion, you just won't find most of us siding with fans from other clubs. You do what you like. Cheers.

You'll find alot of Dragon fans at present aren't overly satisfied with his performance mind you throw the whole team in that bracket.

Never said I was siding with anyone or anyone other supporter from any other team regardless what you might think and don't read any sydney newspaper for their biased stories.

Simple fact really he is playing poor offering little and getting paid well to do it.

I read this in your previous post:

"If it was bad form from me I am not going to apologise he is already disliked by alot of fans from other clubs so his reputation is already tainted."

I personally don't give a stuff about what they think.

Again, it is your opinion to have. I just find it poor form... that's my opinion.

I like Soward & every player in the team
I think he needs to get more ball and playing him at half will afford more opportunities
He will create more doubt than Fein.
He has a better passing game (especially) long passing; better kicking game and has loads more speed.
Give him a go at it. What have we got to lose?
My trial team if all goes well
Dugan
Morris
Beale
Cooper (though with reservations)
Morrison
Nightingale
King
Soward
Au Mau
Rein
Hunt
Creagh
Frizell
Merrin
Fein
Prior
Weyman
Harrison

Thought players look well conditioned, and effort was good for majority of this weeks game. However structure in attack/defense looked amateur, and halves look to have no clear game-plan. That's what is hard to swallow.

Surely the coaching staff are responsible for this! We all saw how a clear game plan benefited a similar halves pairing under Bennett, but not much evidence of this under Price. Seems obsessed with conditioning (can't shut up about training loads etc), so guessing he's playing to a his strengths, while oblivious to everything else he needs to get right.

Talk about conditioning and Merrin looks in great shape, he looks fit and strong and importantly hasn't lost his slightly rounded shape and weight, the slightly round ones so long as supremely fit are often the hardest to tackle.
