Individually our players have the same talent as other sides. The only difference is that our side is so poorly coached that we would struggle to beat a park side.

All I can do is hope that this year goes as fast as it can and that by some miracle that Brian will fall on his sword.

Ive said it before ... There is no way that a Wayne Bennett or a Michael Hagan or a Ricky Stuart would serve that up to their fans.

But we are stuck with him and we are stuck with this crap every week.

As Cliffy Thorman would probably say - "what a load of bollocks"

Today's performance was the worst of the year, attitude wise the guys should have been ready for a big game but they weren't. They got off to a good start but from then on they went nowhere. The side we have at the moment is not good, and it's Smith's fault. We should have a premiership threatening side at the moment, but for some reason we have nothing.

Fair enough.

BUT:

* I think the referee and hos touchies were VERY ordinary; let's remember some of his calls:

- A Thorman 40/20 that went unnoticed because the touchie was asleep; fair dinkum, IF he was paying enough attention he could have gauged whether or not it went out judging by the line AT HIS DAMNED FEET

- A 'forward' pass to Tsoulos (who actually was standing BEHIND Morris when he received it and had to reach back to catch it), eliminating all momentum we had

- That repeat set of six involving Grothe (WHAT A f**king JOKE)

- Widders' disallowed try; it was INCONCLUSIVE on video evidence; as such, the rules say the benefit of the doubt goes to the ATTACKING team; and if the ref already knew Widders was held up, why go to the video?

- How many times were Melbourne penalised for offside? Not enough.

- How many times were they penalised for staying too long on the tackled player? Not enough.

*AND then there were our dumb plays, like:

- Passing it to Petersen as a first hit-up from the scrum; every time he hit it up, he was driven back 10 metres; if we wanted a back to hit it up, why not Langi or Grothe?

- Isolating Petersen on the win for the Storm's second try; I paid particular attention; his centre went inside, and Muzza was left marking the centre and his outside man, the winger; he had to make a decision [to tackle the centre and HOPEFULLY not allow him to offload, or to stay halfway between the two and let the try in anyway]; I think he made the right decision [had he actually pulled off the tackle and contained the offload, Melbourne wouldn't have scored]

- Something Gus commented which is very true - when we defend on our own line, we spread out in the middle and pack tight on the wings; WHY?

- Running on the last tackle

Dead set. We were pretty ordinary, but we made the Storm look brilliant.
