I think there is a much more important question, than the one that opened this thread.

Why did KFC change the fragrance of their refresher towel to a sickly sweet smell, that does nothing for the grease on your fingers?

It has me totally befuddled!!

Anyone??

HMMMM! Id like to know the same thing however something more pertenant is required in this conversation! WHY IS THE ZINGER BURGER SMALLER THAN WHAT IT WAS 2YRS AGO ????

Im seriously confused!

KFC:fist: DAMN YOU! Not including salmonela!

Maybe they should change its name to the "Stinger" or Stinge' burger?

Another one - why is it, when you put $2 worth of 20c pieces in a parking meter, you get less time credited than when you put in a $2 coin? Does that mean that $2 worth of 20's, is worth less than a $2 coin?

Something is not right!!!!!

25th May 2007

MICHAEL D’ASCENZO
COMMISSIONER FOR TAXATION
AUSTRALIAN TAX OFFICE
2 CONSTITUTION AVENUE
CANBERRA A.C.T. 2600

Dear MICHAEL D’ASCENZO,

We write with great concern over a matter, which has just been brought to our attention.

We would be pleased if you could advise us as to how we can lawfully, constitutionally, meaningfully and conscientiously extinguish, or even discharge, a debt in excess of AU$20 in the Commonwealth of Australia without breaching the Currency Act 1965, specifically Sections 9, 11, 16 and 22, considering that the highest denomination coin in common circulation in the Commonwealth of Australia is the AU$2 coin. Additionally, the conflict that exists regarding the face value of coins makes it impossible to value the Australian dollar.

Currency Act 1965
Act No. 95 of 1965 as amended

9 Transactions to be in Australian currency

(1) Subject to this section, every sale, every bill of exchange or promissory note, every security for money, and every other contract, agreement, deed, instrument, transaction, dealing, matter or thing relating to money, or involving the payment of, or a liability to pay, money, that is made, executed, entered into or done, shall, unless it is made, executed, entered into or done according to the currency of some country other than Australia, be made, executed, entered into or done according to the currency of Australia provided for by this Act.

(2) Nothing in this section operates so as to invalidate a will or other testamentary instrument.

11 Payments to be made in currency under this Act

(1) Every payment that is made shall, unless it is made according to the currency of some country other than Australia, be made according to the currency of Australia provided for by this Act.

(2) For the purpose of making a payment that was payable before 14 February 1966, but is not made until on or after that date, the amount of money in the currency provided for by this Act that corresponds to an amount of money in the currency provided for by the repealed Acts is, subject to subsection (3), an amount calculated on the basis of the equivalents specified in subsection (4) of section 8.

(3) For the purposes of subsection (2), where the amount of money in the currency provided for by the repealed Acts is an amount of pounds, shillings and pence, pounds and pence, shillings and pence or pence, the corresponding amount in the currency provided for by this Act shall be calculated on the basis that an amount of pence specified in the first column of the following table corresponds to the amount of cents specified in the second column of that table opposite to that amount of pence:

16 Legal tender

(1) A tender of payment of money is a legal tender if it is made in coins that are made and issued under this Act and are of current weight:
(a) in the case of coins of the denomination of Five cents, Ten cents, Twenty cents or Fifty cents or coins of 2 or more of those denominations—for payment of an amount not exceeding $5 but for no greater amount;
(b) in the case of coins of the denomination of One cent or Two cents or coins of both of those denominations—for payment of an amount not exceeding 20 cents but for no greater amount;
(c) in the case of coins of a denomination greater than Fifty cents but less than Ten dollars—for payment of an amount not exceeding 10 times the face value of a coin of the denomination concerned but for no greater amount;
(d) in the case of coins of the denomination of Ten dollars—for payment of an amount not exceeding $100 but for no greater amount; and
(e) in the case of coins of another denomination—for payment of any amount.

(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), a coin shall be deemed to be not of current weight if it has become diminished in weight by wear or otherwise so as to be of less weight than the weight prescribed as the least current weight of that coin.

22 Prohibition of other than official coins

A person shall not make or issue a piece of gold, silver, copper, nickel, bronze or of any other material, whether metal or otherwise, of any value, other than a coin made or issued under the repealed Acts or under this Act or a British coin as defined by the repealed Acts, as a token for money or as purporting that the holder is entitled to demand any value denoted on it.

Penalty: One hundred dollars.

As all payments must be made in accordance with this Act, and all other types of “money” i.e. notes and paper, are worthless, with no intrinsic value, and section 22 makes it clear that no other material may be used as a token for “money”, your response will be of great concern to the Australian community.

As you are no doubt aware, it is claimed on the “Perth Mint” website that their gold coins are “legal tender”, although this is debatable considering their coins are not “Coin of the Realm”, not the Crown’s money. As there were only 350,000 of the one-ounce, 99.99% pure gold Australian Nugget coins minted, it is clear that there could not be enough to take care of all debt in the Commonwealth of Australia, even if it were logical and sensible to pay over 8 times their face value to extinguish a AU$100 debt with a single coin. Considering the number of coins in total that were available from the Perth mint, at their gold content price plus, there is still not enough coin to take care of all debt even if that were lawful.

We look forward to your response.

Thank you for your time,

I'm sure Casper can relate that back to KFC refresher towels somehow. :sarcasm:

PS. BTW, you just can't beat the lemongrass scented refresher towels, and as you say, the new ones actually make your hands feel MORE greasy. As if there isn't enough grease in that beautiful chicken already!!

KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug them to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, the birds’ throats are slit and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways.

KFC’s own animal welfare advisors have asked the company to take steps to eliminate these abuses, but KFC refuses to do so. Many advisors have now resigned in frustration.

See Pamela Anderson Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVxv7PPGZqg or big screen http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/swf/pam_kfc_320.swf

The outside might be good but the inside is nasty. They genetically engineer the chickens to be blind have no beeks and no feet. They stack them on top of one another 40 chickens high. They are also tube fed.

KFC Grilled Chicken:Unthink Your Health!
by Vin Miller

Fortunately for us, and unfortunately for KFC, the ingredients of their food is available on their website. Here’s what’s in KFC’s Grilled Chicken:

Maltodextrin, Salt, Bleached Wheat Flour, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oil, Monosodium Glutamate, Spices, Palm Oil, Natural Flavor, Garlic Powder, Soy Sauce (Soybean, Wheat, Salt), Chicken Fat, Chicken Broth, Autolyzed Yeast, Beef Powder, Rendered Beef Fat, Extractives of Turmeric, Dehydrated Carrot, Onion Powder, and Not More Than 2% Each of Calcium Silicate and Silicon Dioxide Added as Anticaking Agents.

Where do I begin?

I suppose I’ll address each of the unhealthy ingredients in order.

Maltodextrin: The very first ingredient, which means it’s also the most abundant ingredient, is sugar! Among the many problems associated with sugar, it suppresses your immune system, promotes imbalance of intestinal flora, causes blood sugar fluctuation which can lead to diabetes, promotes weight gain, can cause neurotransmitter imbalance that leads to depression, and can even lead to addiction.

Salt: While natural sea salt is an essential part of good health, the highly refined table salt that KFC most likely uses contains unhealthy additives, is stripped of it’s magnesium and trace minerals, and is bleached to hide the discoloration caused by the processing. Refined table salt is associated with heavy metal toxicity, Alzheimer’s disease, high blood pressure, and kidney problems.

Bleached Wheat Flour: Flour is a highly refined source of carbohydrates that causes many of the same problems as sugar. Furthermore, many people have issues digesting wheat and anyone who is gluten intolerant may be in for a surprise if they eat KFC’s chicken thinking that it’s gluten free.

Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oil: Here’s where things start to get ugly. Cottonseed oil and soybean oil are vegetable oils that are high in omega-6 fatty acids. Although this type of fatty acid cannot be produced by the human body and must be part of our diet, it must also be consumed in an approximately equal ratio to omega-3 fatty acids. The typical modern diet is much too high in omega-6 fatty acids and the imbalance this causes is associated with all kinds of problems including heart disease, cancer and impaired brain function.

It get’s worse. Soy isn’t healthy under any conditions because it contains substances that interfere with mineral absorption, protein digestion, and mimic estrogen. In addition, a frightening amount of soy is genetically engineered and is typically sprayed with more chemicals than most other crops. While organic soy eliminates the problems associated with genetic engineering and toxic chemicals, It’s extremely unlikely for KFC to be using organic ingredients.

I’m still not done with these oils and I saved the worst for last. As if soybean oil and cottonseed oil aren’t bad enough in their own right, they’re made to be much worse through partial hydrogenation. Through this process, these oils are exposed to extreme temperatures, mixed with metal particles, and bombarded with hydrogen atoms. The result is a highly refined, deformed and unnatural molecule that’s commonly referred to as trans-fat and is associated with many serious diseases and health disorders including heart disease and cancer. Even the often misguided mainstream media suggests that you avoid trans-fat like the plague.

Monosodium Glutamate: If you don’t recognize this ingredient, it may sound more familiar to you as MSG. This unnatural flavor enhancer is a neurotoxin that kills brain cells by overstimulating them. It’s commonly regarded as one of the most dangerous food additives in existence and is associated with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and learning disabilities. Even the FDA acknowledges a long list of symptoms that it can cause shortly after consuming it.

Chicken Fat and Beef Fat: Coming from a healthy and naturally raised animal, these fats are highly nutritious. Despite the misconception that saturated fat causes heart disease, they make up a significant portion of cell membranes and are therefore vital to proper cell function. They also support the immune system and the detoxification system. However, because chemical toxins are often diverted from vital organs and stored in body fat, especially in factory farmed animals, the chicken and beef fat used by KFC is likely to be highly toxic.

Autolyzed Yeast: Yeast is a fungus that is naturally found in the intestines, and when in balance with other intestinal flora, it’s beneficial to our health. However, with the amount of sugar and processed food that most people consume, yeast can easily grow out of proportion, produce toxins that cause a wide variety of symptoms, and damage the intestinal lining. In excess, the consumption of yeast can contribute to this problem as well. More importantly, autolyzed yeast contains MSG, and this should be of particular concern since MSG is already listed on it’s own as an ingredient of KFC’s grilled chicken.

What About the Chicken Itself?

KFC has been under fire for quite some time because of the factory farming used to produce their chicken. Undercover investigators, including investigators from PETA, have reported horrendous conditions at these farms. According to their observations, the animals were packed in warehouses with very little room to move, were completely deprived of sunlight, and were so weak and deformed that they could barely function well enough to eat and drink. There were even cases of the farm employees torturing the animals for no other purpose than their own twisted enjoyment.

Without a doubt, factory farming is bad news. If the animal cruelty isn’t enough to turn your stomach, then the poor quality of the meat should be. These animals are fed the cheapest feed available which is likely to contain toxic grain that has failed inspection for human consumption and can also contain fillers such as sawdust, newspaper, and cardboard. They’re also typically fed antibiotics on a regular basis to compensate for the unhealthy conditions they’re forced to live in and are given hormones to accelerate their growth. Whenever you eat food that’s derived from an animal, you’re also eating what the animal ate, and this includes the pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, sawdust, newspaper and cardboard that they were fed.

The Reality of Eating Out

If you want to enjoy excellent health, you have to accept the fact that nearly all restaurant food is unhealthy. Unless you know for sure that the restaurant serves organic food and gets it from reputable sources, you’re likely to get a plate full of food that is low in nutrients and high in toxins.
While there’s obviously a big difference between fried chicken wings and grilled chicken served with vegetables, it’s important to realize that even whole foods can pose a risk to your health if they’re not from a quality source. In general, local restaurants with a strong reputation are more likely to serve higher quality food. While it may not be organic, it will certainly be better than anything you’d typically find in a chain or fast food restaurant.

Don’t Drive Yourself Crazy

The main point of this article is to help you recognize the deception of corporate marketing and realize that restaurant food is rarely healthy. Based on this, you should be preparing the majority of your meals yourself with high quality organic foods and should avoid restaurant food as much as possible. However, you don’t have to be obsessive about it. Most of us enjoy eating out, especially to socialize with friends, and it’s healthy to do so on occasion. Just make sure you stick to the 80/20 rule and do it in moderation.

KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken?
By yogi on December 20, 2007
http://www.klyoga.com/2007/12/20/kfc-or-kentucky-fried-chicken

I received a rather disturbing email from a friend yesterday on everybody’s favorite ayam goreng KFC.

Yes, I’m a yoga fan but I DO indulge in “good” food sometimes.

KFC has been a part of our American traditions for many years. Many people, day in and day out, eat at KFC religiously. Do they really know what they are eating? During a recent study of KFC done at the University of New Hampshire , they found some very upsetting facts. First of all, has anybody noticed that just recently, the company has changed their name?
Kentucky Fried Chicken has become KFC.

Does anybody know why?

We thought the real reason was because of the “FRIED” food issue.

IT’S NOT!

The reason why they call it KFC is because they can not use the word chicken anymore. Why? KFC does not use real chickens. They actually use genetically manipulated organ isms. These so called “chickens” are kept alive by tubes inserted into their bodies to pump blood and nutrients throughout their structure. They have no beaks, no feathers, and no feet. Their bone structure is dramatically shrunk to get more meat out of them.

This is great for KFC.

They do not have to pay so much for their production costs. There is no more plucking of the feathers or the removal of the beaks and feet. The government has tol d them to change all of their menus so they do not say chicken anywhere. If you look closely you will notice this. Listen to their commercials, I guarantee you will not see or hear the word chicken. I find this matter to be very disturbing.

featherless-chicken.jpg

I hope people will start to realize this and let other people know. Please forward this message to as many people as you can. Together we make KFC start using real chicken again.

Haha, it doesn't relate to either the KFC or parking meter question. Instead, it's just another example of "Why does such a stupid thing exist?"

1. You cannot use notes to pay debts. The Currency Act clearly states that only coins can be used to pay debts.

2. The highest value coin we have is the $2 coin.

3.
(c) in the case of coins of a denomination greater than Fifty cents but less than Ten dollars—for payment of an amount not exceeding 10 times the face value of a coin of the denomination concerned but for no greater amount;

So, effectively, if we use the largest possible legal tender to pay a debt ($2 coin) we can only use it to pay a debt no more than 10 times its value i.e. $20.

So, how do we pay debts larger than $20? Under the Currency Act it is impossible.

I'm actually a big fan of O'Reilly. He's like Piers Akerman - sometimes they're gonna be right (everyone is right sometimes) but when they're wrong, they're absolutely hilarious.

Have you read the interviews with Indira Singh?

No.... I don't gravitate to all these intellectuals who use only a very tiny part of their brain, roughly 1%, used like a never-ending tape-loop to MEMORISE fictitious occultic man-made con-structs. Many of these intellectuals, left or right or even center, are establishment lackeys, often referred to as freemasons.

True freemasonry is all about The Rules Of The Divide as in the compass and the angle.
celestial.jpg

They form all the fairytales that has MAN fall from consciousness (reality) into a state of unconsciousness (fiction - illusion - delusion - fantasy - fairytales).

Its all about images and how we (MAN) focus on images. The brain is just like a film projector, the images scanned across the lens is what is being focused on and what images we focus on comes bouncing back to us in the cinema of life in the image/s of our projection/s.

This is the basis of ALL brain (mind) control.

Copied and pasted from here: http://nospam06.com.au/node/6753#comment-1719

The Second Coming waited for by the Christians, the Prophet waited for by the Muslims, the Messiah waited for by the Jews and the shift in consciousness talked about by the New Agers are just the shift in focus that we (MAN) all make when we open our eyes to the destruction we are causing (how we think and feel and do) and take on the full-responsibility of cleaning up the mess. This is all that needs to happen for the world of MANS-CREATION to be changed for the better forever.

When we stop focusing on the fairytales fashioned from occultic practices they will fade away and die but while we keep focusing on them, MAN and MANS co-creation of creation will fade away and die instead.

Its just a choice of existence or not.
