The Continuous Call Clowns ever say we got robbed last night and THAT is saying something because they never back us in contentious calls.

Spadger Badger needs to get sacked or introduced to a cement truck doing 80 miles an hour.

Chook.

Uhm, why are all the penalties we deliberatley give away not giving us advantage this season?

Even Phil Rothfield feels sorry for us. You know we're being stitched up if that happens.

MISFORTUNE COMES HOME TO ROOST

I NEVER thought I’d feel sorry for the Sydney Roosters.
Forget the transit lounge, the latte set, the Bondi billionaires, Sonny Bill and the caryard king.

This club has been dudded, its premiership defence derailed by circumstances beyond its control. Shocking refereeing on Friday night, the World Cup last year, and Origin injuries have combined to almost ruin their chances.
The Roosters had to provide 15 players for last year’s World Cup, which seriously affected their pre-season preparation.

We get to Origin. They lose Michael Jennings and Daniel Tupou to serious injuries.

That’s $800,000 of their salary cap gone for the run home to the finals.
On Friday night they travel to Newcastle to play the Knights. It’s a crucial game for their top-four hopes. Admittedly they don’t play well but at the same time they are robbed.

James Maloney scores a fair try but it’s disallowed by the video ref.

The Knights score their first try to get back into the game from a set, when they should have been taking a line drop-out instead of a 20m tap restart.

They clearly took the ball dead. In other games, the video refs have overturned line-drop-out calls but in this NRL competition there is no consistency.

These mistakes cost the Roosters 12 points and the game.

8 times we have received fewer than 5 penalties a game this season.

As a comparison, Souffs have received fewer than 5 penalties a game ZERO times.

This is a disgrace.

It is plain for all to see, we just never get penalties for things every other team gets. An example that immediately jumps to mind is Mini getting checked 3 times whilst trying to take a quick 20m tap. It is a penalty for any other team.

I didn't notice you blokes whingeing game before last when you were given a 40/20 that wasn't, then allowed to take the quick tap (which the opposition were not later in the game when they really did kick a 40/20) and following this a bloke was sinbinned for being offside.

This was nothing more or less than a gifted try, and also a gifted fatigued opponent, down a forward in the first 5 minutes. Not whingeing about that lads?

Fair point, but you fail to see the issue we're actually whinging about.

It's not the penalties we concede that pisses us off, it's the consistent lack of penalties we're received over an extended period. No other team has received less than 5 penalties in 5 games this season as noted last Friday night when Newcastle didn't concede one penalty in the entire second half. And that trend has been occurring for multiple seasons. Every time a team plays us their discipline magically improves for just that week.

Chook.

The reason Penrith weren't given a quick tap is because the ball boy threw it to the Penrith player when he should have placed in on the line. so yeah.

We didn't get a penalty in the second half either on the weekend. But we didn't deserve to win. You guys should have led by 30 the way the first half went, but didn't take your chances. In the second half the Knights took whatever chances they got.

The only thing wrong with the incident was the fact you guys didn't get to take the quick tap later on. Everything else was correct.

The Roosters "40/20" was touched by Matt Moylan, who jumped from the field of play, before it went out, thus making it not a 40/20. It should have been a scrum with a Roosters feed, and obviously with the defence set and hence no sinbinning and probably no try either. No commentators seemed to notice, although mention of it was made in the game day thread.

Do take the time to check this, it is as clear as day. A nice little leg up for your team courtesy of the refs, you'd have to agree?
