I hope Sheens stays

After what Sheens has done for the club over the last three years I hope he stays on for a couple more.

He is a quality coach who works under a very tight fiscall policy at the Tigers and his expertise with the Juniors has made the Tigers into a very competitive club.

His relationship with Noyce has been excellent and they have brought us out of near extinction, for that I will always be greatful.

He isn't perfect and has made some mistakes, which all coaches do but I am willing to let that slide for a competitive footballl team.

Having a competeive team is much better than pre 2005.

There may be a handful of people who don't like him, loud malcontents with short memories but the majority of supporters like Sheens and want him to stay.

All I can say is I'm happy and those people who don't like him......well, here are some more tissues.

In the background some malcontents singing "What about me, it isn't fair....." ;-)

Clown.
We should also sign up Royce on a 10 yr deal because the defence is so improved
And while we're at it, a new contract for Ronald because if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have been able to sign Junior Burger on a 3 year deal after we couldn't offer a contract to a 2 time, premiership winning, international centre.

Lucky for the Tigers clowns like you are now few and far between. The worms have turned and next year's bottom 4 finish (at best) will mean the fraud that is Tim Sheens is not with us in 2009

I agree. Sheens to stay for another year. Royce to go somewhere far far away.

If we do finish bottom 3 in 2009 than I would say we axe Sheens, McDonnell and Noyce

Similar to competitive.

We win around half our games and are close in others that we lose.

Surely you remember the dark days of Wests Tigers, Balmain and Wests.

Aiming to be better than we were between 2000-2003 is not aiming high enough.

It's accepting mediocrity.

I said this in the Galavau post.

I beleive that the Wests Tigers don't have the funds like other clubs, thats why our recruitment seems poor.

I think Sheens does a good job considering the amount of money that is available.

Whatever anyone says we don't spend as much as others. $4.75m is the maximum you can get out of the cap with concessions.

Our club doesn't even come close.

Consider this...

Noyce has stated that we have youth policy at the Wests Tigers, we bought a big name player and probably never will, Phatz was the closest.

Prince, Richards and Hodgo both came cheaper than what they were worth because of injury. Paytens contract was paid by others. Elford was cheap and so on

As you can see we never have spent money on players no one around 300k, recruitment has to be frugal, and because of this you have to take a punt and sometimes it doesn't pay off. The above cases did pay off.

So you may say Sheens does a good job considering this.

OK if we can't spend to the cap then questions need to be asked like where the Telstra money is going. Where the gate money from having the highest Sydney crowds goes etc etc etc etc. If it is being spunked then Noyce can do one as well. We should be minted with the Proton sponsorship, merchandise sales (top sydney club) whoring games out to whoever. If we aren't Noyce will be asked some very tough questions given Cronulla and Penrith can sign marquee players

Spot on,we seem to be well under the cap in relation to player quality at our club opposed to most other clubs.
We must not be spending the full amount,or there are players on big salaries with a little heart.

How do people put the Sheens team on a pedstal. Iam not going to re hash my stuff, but Nathan Brown has a better win loss record over the past 5 years. All the supporter base we have built up will start jumping ship after yet another disasterous year under the Sheens dream coaching team
