So you are one of the few people happy with Mary's selection decisions and bench management.
Also happy with his stoush with Millward over the centre/fullback debacle.
Happy with his decisions to use the 'up and in defensive structure without considerations of exposing our far edge on both sides of the field, leading to losses against the Eels and Storm this season.
And happy with his treatment of Mann, Milne and promising juniors Dufty, Field, Lawrie and Kerr this season.
I hope it's not true and if it is, it's time for fans to rise up and get rid of this incompetent administration at St George Illawarra.
There is no logical reason for the Club to extend Mary at this time, in fact there is a logical reason for delaying that decision till end of season.
Possm, there is no bigger critic of Mary than I.
I was always the first one to hammer him in the past, but I think in this case you're nit picking.
As I said, if he takes us to a top 4 spot (which will only be decided at the end of the season) then I think it's worth giving him the extension, even if it's only another year or so. Because let's face it, what's the alternative? Laurie Daley? Tim Sheens? There is no-one out there right now who I see as an 'upgrade' so to speak. I would be happy to look at alternatives if there was someone better on the market but right now, there isn't.
At the present moment, it looks like the players are playing for Mary, as bizarre as that seems. Melbourne and Parramatta were amazing against us, on that day they would have beaten any team in the competition. In recent weeks we have lost by less than 4 points with two of our best players out, that is a massive achievement.
Yes we have a defending technique that can be found out from time to time, but right now we are sitting 5th on the ladder (should be 2nd) and we have the most points scored of any team in the NRL. If this continues, Mary's case to stay is strong. As much as I HATE to admit that, I can't look past it.
However, anything less than top 4 he's gone in my eyes.
