Sin Binned v Knights in 2002 at marathon.
Hindy was one of the new generation forwards learning the art in the wake of signing the Canterbury 4. This group also included Nathan Cayless, Michael Hodeson, Matt Spence, Justin Morgan and Bobcat Ryan, and of course Brother Ian . Hindy cemented the No 11 jersey in 1998. I can remember watching him in this era, thinking this kid was as good as any new Eels forward I had seen, in a Ray Price kinda way. In the 1999 preliminary final, a late Hindmarsh break almost brought Parramatta glory.
In 2000 he was named Dally M second rower of the year, which he duplicated in 2001. In 2002 he was the highest rated non halfback, but due to a stupid lifting send off and bodgey suspension, the award went to Ali Lauiti'iti.
