Riddell can make up his mind when ever he wants. June 30 is the deadline for clubs to re-sign players before other clubs can negotiate with them.

He originally wanted to get everything sorted by the end of last week then when Saints called a meeting with him on Tuesday it was to table all offers! and that St George were frantically trying to sort out some figures to fit him under the cap and a decision would be made by him and his manegement by the end of this week.

Since then the Sharks have pulled out and I think Manly may have joined the race which may even delay things even further, however it looks like he's desperate to stay at St George, so we'll see what happens.

I think you'll find that the original offer was 275K for 4 seasons but then hastely changed to 300K for 2 seasons! so I think thats where the Big League report is coming from.

There are 3 factors here!

1] Pig wants to make a decision very quickly! in fact if he waits until June 30 he may lose a lot of Money due to stalling as he's already done.

2] The sharks have pulled out on the back of re-signing Dumas, Nutley and someone else I can't think off, there are also on the verge of re-signing Michael Sullivan. so they have basically used up Riddells funds.

3] St George are also delicately trying to juggle Kite and Head under the cap, they had to let Firmin go. and there is no doub't Riddell is affected.

Having said all that I think we should up the ante and give the Pig a deadline say, by 12pm Monday to deside whether he wants to join the best club in the world or not.

I think that's important. If Parramatta want to keep McKinnon, Grothe, and most likely Widders and Stapleton then they should wrap them up before June 30. They should get their finances together now so they know how much they have to spend.
