In the St George and Sutherland Leader, it said he was more likely to remain at the Dragons now as Kite was likely to join Canberra and they have the additional funds from releaising Firman 150k to the roosters and Kite 200k.

It said he was expected to re sign with Saints later next week even though they haven't upped his offer from 220k.

We sharkies pulled out of the race to sign him, when Sullivan agreed to terms a couple of days ago. He appears a little overpriced.

Good luck with it anyway boys, you never know.

No way in the world Firman was on $150k & Kite on $200k :lol:

I think you'll find both were on well and truelly less than $100k each. They haven't freed up that much cash. The whole point of letting Firman go was more so to do with him not wanting to play hooker.

Hornby (big $ upgrade), Ryles (minor $ upgrade if any), Kite (big $ upgrade) & Riddell (big $ upgrade) are all yet to re-sign.

We'll see what happens.

Graeme Hughes asked Riddell this afternoon, if he was close to re-signing and his answer was neither yes or no it was kind of like there still a lot to sort out and I have another meeting on Wednesday!!
