If Cronk joins the Roosters, the 2018 competition is over before it starts

18 months ago they had to release Jennings because of "cap pressure". Now they can bring in Tedesco and Cronk on million dollar contracts. What a turn around in cap management. Nothing suss at all.

Really? Says who? They dumped Jennings as they thought Copley, who they signed from Brisbane, would give them the same talent at a lower price. They did not need to dump Jennings for 2016 considering they'd just lost James Maloney and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and their only signings were Jayden Nikorima, Ryan Matterson and Joe Burgess who were hardly "big names". Add in that January 2016 saw Martin Kennedy banned due to doping, resulting in his contract being torn up.

The story was that they needed him out so they had the money to re-sign Cordner.

Well now that he's been shopped around apparently Nikorima is on $370kpa

Yet when they bought him as you say it was 'another basement signing'

They lost RTS because they had him on a kids contract and they couldn't match the Warriors adult contract. Don't try to make out as though RTS loss saved hundreds of thousands.

RTS was on $X, the roosters offered him $Y and NZ $Z

X < Y < Z

Get it?

Roosters are smart,

Can't be over the celery cap when you're paying players in dollars.

As long as Cooper doesn't use those dollars to buy celery, which I'm positive he'll have been warned against.

Where did I say "another basement signing"? I never used the term, so do not put words in my mouth thank you. I said they were hardly big name signings didn't I? Also you want to tell me that Nikroma would have been signed on the money that Maloney was on?

If you go by the press reports, RTS was offered a motza by the Warriors, reportedly the $800,000 per season that they'd had Sam Tomkins on. RTS was not on a "kid contract" as he'd been re-signed in 2012 (the season he made his first grade debut at the club) after the season had finished to a new 3 year deal. If the Roosters had matched the Warriors offer it would have blown the cap. So please don't try and tell me about my club and what goes on there.

The Roosters now have the 2018 Grand Final wrapped up. Boring season ahead.

The only question that remains is who are the fantasists who think they can stop the Roosters?
