So what about the JT/ Bowen combo..?
Do you have another lie to explain that.?

Cronk, Inglis and Slater have just as good a combination and Slater actually runs the ball back and does not pass to his wingers all the time like Bowen does!

Meninga has some big balls...and I reckon, if the Storm get over the Doggies, with the below having half decent games, the following team will be picked:

1. Bowen
2. Slater
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Bell
6. Lockyer
7. Thurston

Cya Hunt...ya Cant

The team will either look like this:

1. Bowen
2. Tate
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Slater
6. JT
7. Hunt

or

1. Hunt
2. Tate
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Slater
6. JT
7. Scott Prince

14. Matty Bowen

I think anyway. Its quiet hard to leave Bowen out of your team.

If Bowen on the wing then pick Inglis inside him. Queensland will match NSW upfront, Crocker, Webb, Johnson, guys like Thaiday, Kaufusi off the bench

Why? What does Hunt on the wing bring to the team?

A solid kick return that would be sorely missed without him.

Hunt will be picked at fullback not for his combination with Lockyer, but for his size, strength, toughness and record in the representative jersey. This has already been mentioned by many, but some just refuse to see the reality.

If Bowen is picked anywhere it has to be somewhere were he's close to the action. Main thing Hunt has going for him is he always shines at rep level. However his form this year definitely doesn't warrant selection. If Lockyer is ruled out it provides one more reason not to pick him I think.

^^ Your first point sums it up almost perfectly.

Bowen's main advantage as a ball runner over Hunt is his ability to dart through defensive holes and his speed and agility around the ruck. QLD already have players with these kind of attributes that will be picked in the centres and most likely on the wings.

I would not have a problem with Bowen's selection in this team, but if he is going to feature anywhere in the side, it must be off the bench at the expense of Shaun Berrigan. He has no business playing fullback for QLD. It's unfortunate, but true.
