No, I think it would be great if this thread had stayed as a mute point...

It was awful footy from Inu - and at the half it was Parramatta 12, Inu 12.

But he stuck to his guns, took a nice intercept to almost send Humble over for a try. Never stopped trying, kept hitting the ball up, and didn't put his head down and give up.

Totally agree - if we lost by less than 12, I would still be berating him.

But his second half was good, and we didn't lose . . . so yes it is indeed a "muff" point.

All hypothetical, but I am sure there would be other scapegoats for the loss.
ie Morts,Poore,Robson,etc

It would have been all Krisnan Inu's fault

Eels leading 12-0 and holding Manly well,Inu decides to get the ball from a kick and run close to the sideline when there were 4 defenders out there and duly gets taken into touch, from that resulting play Manly get all the momentum and go into the half at 12-12.

Krisnan Inu gets a intercept pass and decides to be the slowest player in the history of rugby league and even get run down by a plodder like Steve Matai,Inu had a clear run to the line with nobody in front of him.

Inu = Dope

Aren't you the guy who just said in the other thread about people screaming and swearing at the opposition are losers?

Yeah, cause it is much better to take aim at your own players, right?

To be fair, it was brain dead from Inu, not once, but twice to invite Manly to attack our line within the last 10 minutes of the first half.

He laid out the welcome mat nice and clearly the first time by running into touch.
Manly scored.

Then he does something brilliant 5 minutes later to intercept the wobbliest attempt at a longball ever (Bailey...) and then AS HE IS HITTING THE TURF tries to pop the miracle ball up to a well marked Humble.
Turnover, and Manly score again.

It was awful footy from Inu - and at the half it was Parramatta 12, Inu 12.

But he stuck to his guns, took a nice intercept to almost send Humble over for a try. Never stopped trying, kept hitting the ball up, and didn't put his head down and give up.

The team stepped up and responded to the mistakes instead of getting on his back, they responded to adversity and ground out a quality win.

Fail of a thread title - could've been something about 'what the heck was Inu thinking' - but the good thing is that we 'got away with it'.

Agreed.

Posters are being a bit harsh, I reckon.

Haynetrain's not without a point, but maybe not expressed particularly well.

ok title of this thread IF WE LOST LAST NIGHT....my reply is WE DIDNT LOSE so why even dwell on it? im sure DA will talk to inu this week and even during the game when hayne passed to inu he made sure inu ran towards him (hayne) in the middle and made sure he ran up the middle, deadset one down game from certain players and yourself and Soulja are all over them....deadset do u really support this team fully or just SOME players when they play well?

Definitely taken over from Grothe as the scariest player to watch coming out of our own end.

Definitely taken over from grothe as the easiest scapegoat in the backline anyway.

The intercept was a try saver and if the pass hit humble on the chest he scores a 90 m try. The intercept saved a try after reddy was caught in no mans land. He showed defensive awareness, athleticism and then vision to sense the support and skill to offload. Humble collected it and the ball was popped out after he had retained it. Then someone else missed the tackle for the try. Hardly soly his fault.

Like grothe Inu is one of the only players who can not only
make metres with power speed or footwork when under pressure from a kick, but can offer an offload which is a huge play when you are struggling to bring it out. As with grothe, better support ply and awareness to turn the offload into a strength rather than a risk is the play. Grothe still offloads from his own end - now his team mates are ready and it is a great play.

Tahu made as many boneheaded plAys as inu last night, and probably more this season, but doesn't cop the same criticism.

There is a massive difference between swearing(showing anger/hatred) at opposition players and simply/calmy pointing out that Inu played poorly

oh cool - i'm glad he decided to run slowly - i'd hate to think he really has lost that much pace

What are you tards talking about,Inu getting smashed into touch changed the whole game,Parramatta was cruising up until then which is why captain Cayless was shaking his head on the sideline after Inu ran into touch, that brought Manly back into the game,if that didn't happen the Eels more then likely go into the break with a 12-0 lead.

Why would he run near the sideline when there were 4 defenders out there?

It is the sheer audacity of spontaneous strike players like Inu going for things in the moment that will win more games than lose any. With a solid defense structure we witnessed last night Inu & Mateo should be encouraged to seize the moment when the opportunity presents and go for it.

This forum has some of the most negative people around.... if we lose, then the sky is falling... If we win it's what if the sky was falling?
I can almost understand the reaction when we lose and play badly, but when we slug it out (which many here and many tv "experts" claim we can't do) and win we should be really happy. We are doing really well.

I can't say i'm surprised by the anti-Inu sentiments of this thread by the original poster though, for mine, it was just a matter of time before someone had a crack at Inu. Many supporters feel betrayed when players leave clubs, through their own choice or via the club/salary cap situation. I reckon Inu & Mateo leaving will only see them fire up more to want to leave as a success.
