Spot on. Moltzen has shown in 2 games more than morris did in 60.
What a shame the dynamic duo took 2 and a half yrs to realise it
This comp is there for the taking. For god's sake a team with Dean young at hooker, hornby at half and soward in 6 is leading the comp, not to mention having beaugenius scott in the centres.

The team coming second has Buddy Gordon and Jarrod Hickey in its top 17. We are easily a top 4 side talent wise. How we aren't there is due to one factor.

The coach's insistence on playing his golden boy in the halves until it was too late.

Gallant is a much better fullback than Moltzen and Moltzen has done very well in the halves.

why oh why oh why oh why did we persist with morris for so long. We all saw he wasn't up to it within 3 months of him signing. If only `the game's greatest mind' saw it like us mugs on the hill

Not here to pick fights. Actually came here to congratulate you lads on a great game. Well done.

But!

The players for both the dogs and the Dragons you listed are all doing exactly what their coaches are asking.. and it is working. Besides Farah, Ellis and an injured flamo Prop do you guys even have forwards?

Last year when Moltzen made his debut against the Cows up there at cow park. He was our best player, set up a try and scored one himself. He played at halfback....so what the hell does the supercoach do .....puts f**king Johnny Morris back at Halfback for the next game. I can never forgive this tossa of a coach who has put through me and so many Tigaz supporters so much grief because his inability to read a game of footy. I can't believe this guy has won so many Grand finals. Honestly, It's beyond me.

i IQed the game and watched it when i got home. the thing that got me was after gallant scored peter sterling goes 'the tigers were losing games and tim sheens had to make some changes, he brought this kid in and put moltzen at halfback, since then the tigers have looked great' or something along those lines. then the commentry team precedded to bat themselves stupid over this tim sheens masterstroke.

FFS those players should have been in these positions at the start of 2008!

Yeah....and what about Gus "tossa" Gould...."Oh...that's a Shifty Sheens move right there"......Shifty Sheens this....Shifty Sheens that.....

They all have hidden agendas these commentators....never call it as it is.

Im happy tp leave the 1 6 7 9 mix exactly how it is now for next year, i think we can make Halfback outa Moltzen , but if they dont sign up Gallant we all know it will be Moltzen back to number 1 next year. Did anyone notice the comraderie amongst the players when they scored against the cowgirls, it was like 2005 ,they seemed to be proud of each other especialy with mighty mouse and even Farah and Benji embraced like the best of mates which flys in the face of rumours they dont get on

Spot on.

Did notice the comraderie. They're just enjoying their footy. They're all playing in their rightful position, happy playing with each other and playing for one another. The belief is there and they are gelling.

I dont know about Moltzen going back to 1 next year - we re-signed Lazarus since he dusted himself and suspect that he remains the "long term saviour" at 1.

I do hope we keep Gallant though, because the poor guy does an excellent job in a team that he is pretty much unwanted in by the coaches.

If this combo stay untouched and Keith Galloway comes back, I'm willing to say that unless something extraordinary happens, we'll win every game on route to the finals.

if we had either shirnak, mataka or gower instead of laurie, we would be in the 8 as well.

I couldve coached those raiders squads to those premierships with the talent they had.

What he said. Gallant is a real fullback. Morris is a good defender but gave nothing in attack. If Moltzen can become a good organising halfback, and the way he put Ayshford into a hole against the Cowboys gives me hope, we could be on to something. Taamata off the bench and who knows...

Im very happy with Moltzen the way he is. he will naturally improve with time, but even if he does not develop into an organising halfback i think we would be fine.

If Gallant is a talker and a specialist fullback he will organise defense from the back, robbie can organise attack from the front, which he does anyway.

Thats not to say it wouldnt be nice to see Moltzen run the team but anything is better than Marshall/Morris.

I agree, Taamata off the bench would be great. He is a natural talent but im not sure he can concentrate for 80 minutes and worse case if he does get back on the piss he is easily replaced.

having said all that, stranger things have happend, and will happen agin with Sheens at the helm.
