If WTs win by 10, and Canberra lose by 4....

I *think* it goes on most points scored, i.e. who has the highest points for. Which is also neck and neck.

What if Tigers win 3-0 and Raiders lose 11-0? Making their points for and against equal.

Doesn't seem likely..

Heh. WT 10-0 with two tries, Canberra 7-11, three pgs and fg - level on tries scored as well. We'd have to give it the Tigers for conceding less tries. Hopefully lots of things come before a coin toss.

Maybe they go on head to head if everything's even? Tigers won their one game 40-0 didn't they?

If everything is even it'll probably come down to a coin toss. Not like either team will make it past week two anyway.

A two-man sack race will be held on consecutive Sundays until a champion can be crowned.

I remember someone posting something a while back which outlined the different rules of how teams that finished on equal for and against are separated, I just can't remember which thread it was in.

EDIT:

Found it:
a) greater positive difference between points scored for and against
b) greater percentage of points scored for and against (points scored divided by points against)
c) most tries scored
d) most goals kicked
e) most drop goals kicked
f) by the toss of a coin

So, if the differential is positive then it is fewer points conceded but if it is negative it will be more points scored.

Percentages at this stage:

Tigers: 95.24%
Raiders: 97.9%

Therefore, the Raiders would have to get flogged to get overtaken by the Wests Tigers on percentages.

There really is no need for options D or E in there, is there?

The only way you can get past the percentage stage is if both teams finish on the exact same for and against. And then the team that has scored more tries is obviously going to have kicked less goals or drop goals.

And which dickhead decided the percentage rule? Way to make it confusing. If teams or tied on differential it should be POINTS SCORED.

But what if some team scores something like 700 points while letting in 650 points, and the other team only scores 200 points, but only let's in 150 points. Who should get through, the team with good defence but poor attack, or the team with good attack but poor defence?

if the Warriors beat Canberra with their 2 halves being dropped (which I think is what has happened), it will go down as one of the great master strokes of all time by a coach
