Still trying to justify the worst Grand Final in history I gather.

Big League is turning into the same drivel rag that is Rugby League week so I stopped buying

Still trying to justify a once in 100 yr penalty
Never before ... and not since
It is truly a shame fulton didn't get his wish in 1987 at endeavour field
Then the arrogance of the prick in the article
`i tell them to spend their 40c elsewhere'
When this turd carks it i'll dance on his f**king grave

he had some good points but that sh*tty little comment and his ludicrous penalty were more damaging than anything else.

You know I could live with it. if that f-wit only said yeh maybe I got it wrong or may be in hindsight I went the wrong way, but to this day still say it was the right call after its been replayed 10 millions times and proven otherwise is crap. Fulton wanted a cement truck, wok wanted a machine gun

From what I've seen of this game, you blokes had plenty of chances to win the game.

Poor tackling (outwide mind you) was probably more decisive in the end.

Balmain were going to be defending first in extra time, so he wanted 2 strong defensive players out there who were rested.

Mick Neill must have missed as many tackles in that second half as Watmough did in last years Grand Final.

Currier defended like someone in Oz-tag, mind you, he'd been doing that all season for the Tigers anyway.

Tigers didn't have great defenders in the three-quarters at the time, Jack was pretty good. Their forwards did all the defence. And when your forwards include Pearce, Sironen, Edmed, Roach, Elias and Brooks and with Hardwick on the bench, it wasn't ever too much of an ask. That's possibly one of the best forward packs the comp has ever seen, defensively and in attack.

Wrong.......they both came off when we were in front late in the game.

There is no way Wok would have taken them off knowing there was extra time.

Don't forget the Raiders scored with about a minute in normal time.

That's closer to the mark.....we had several chances to put that game away and we couldn't.

But gee we went close.

Brasher and Currier did make some crucial misses which cost us,but they were up against a pretty formidable combo in Meninga and Daley.

IMO Daley's defense kept them in the game, every time we looked like cutting them up he would just kill it with a great tackle, and of course how could you forget Meninga's tackle on poor old Mick Neill.

Even though we lost the game,it was an amazing day.I'll never forget it.

Wok did it in the semi vs soufs as well from memory
The penalty, the field goal, mick neil tripping over his feet (meninga got nowhere near him but the media love wanking off about meninga's `ankle tap', pearce just having to catch and pass. And canberra's equalising try was a forerunner to manly's 6 pocket theory .. off heads, hands, basketball passes etc etc

Harrigan is a turd and got it wrong. The canberra players were offside. Were we to have waited til they got set before we ran it. Prick
