Three coaches gone in the space of two weeks... that's 25% basically in one go

Hull - 11th place - Peter Sharp gone
Warrington - 7th place - Paul Cullen gone
Huddersfield - 10th place - Jon Sharp gone
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/general/rugby-league/sharp-sacked-by-giants-838909.html

Is it the case of clubs getting a bit itchy with the franchise announcements coming soon? Or just a coincidence case of all teams not performing, too long in the jobs and time to try for a fresh approach?

I'd hate to see more Aussie coaches (like Nathan Brown) head over, and tip the balance away from opportunities for native UK coaches coming through the ranks...

Hull just got impatient with poor performances although their injury list for the past two seasons didn't help Sharp's cause. I'm at least happy to see that they've given Richard Agar a chance after he filled in when John Kear was sacked and also when Peter Sharp went. Cullen and Jon Sharp have been on thin ice for a couple of seasons now. Cullen was a sacking/resignation waiting to happen whilst Huddersfield have the capability to challenge for a top six spot yet they lack any kind of consistency. Witness the last three weeks of J. Sharp's reign, lose to HKR in the CC conceding 40+ points, beat HKR by scoring 50 points and then losing to Catalans by shipping 48. No wonder Sharp had no hair left.

 He did have a lot less hair left at the end than he did at the start.

Agar did alright with York before he moved up to assistant roles, glad he's getting a go now, and I hope they do OK in the CCup.

Hopefully, chairmen are going to realize sooner rather than later that this process of sacking coaches mid-season is a completely ridiculous and stupid thing. It's only justified really if the players want the coach out.

I was surprised when Hull sacked Peter Sharp. Unless Richard Agar can turn their fortunes around very quickly. With no P & R I would have thought they would have sat tight and basically put all of their eggs in the CC basket and written the SL season off and just let Sharp ride into the sunset at the end of the season when his contract would have expired. The problem is that supporters get very impatient very quickly and the board then starts to listen to the groundswell of opinion instead of realising that they are actually the people who employed the man that they then go out and sack! If Sharp wasn't good enough then surely the people who employed him and John Kear should take a long hard look in the mirror.
