Matagi looks the goods, who do you think he would replace?
Don't know TBH, Bri. He's got speed and anticipation down. But a sense of urgency is something that he's still developing. Having a team getting its clocks cleaned doesn't help a newbie make good decisions either. I think it'll come if there's a bit more experience around him.
Injury is his biggest issue. I can only hope that another year of conditioning and seeing others play through the pain barrier solves that.
On Matagi, I'd assume Matulino, Lillyman, and a fit Sam Rapira -- there used to be such a thing -- are locked in. If we're sticking with a 4 prop rotation the rest fight it out. If Matagi is killing it in training, as rumoured, there'll be a massive fire under his arse. Being able to travel again has opened the door and rivals will have a hard time shutting it.
