I was impressed with the amount of coverage the steelers side of things got, nearly every story I watched/read mentioned the Illawarra and almost all the players interviewed pointed out how many guys are from the gong.

I wouldn't get too upset about it, the Illawarra got their fair share of mentions IMO.

Loudstrat is a pathetic merkin.

The true big issue is Parramatta, who now wear the chokers crown.

Go top yourself loudie. Your family deserve a break from you.

Nice contribution to a serious topic - I guess you forgot the endless references on C9 to first premiership since 79 - team from Kogarah - Hornby joining the elite St George premiership captains etc........Then again what could we expect from a chronic felching addict who has probably peed in his pants to keep his legs warm like yourself eh?

I was just asking the question, not trolling you brainless gimp.

BTW Cheers for that Sovereign - that's the response I wanted!

Dude - syndicated news stories don't count as history books ...

I'm aware of that. I was simply surprised the NRL would publish an article stating it was premiership 16/1/1, which is what I've been advocating all along, and the official position of the club itself. Seems to me the NRL aren't overly bothered by the whole issue.

Having said that, what right do the NRL as a body have to make any statement on how historical records from other competitions (NSWRL, ARL) should be treated? The NRL has only existed since 1998.

so they gave out 3 premierships on the weekend! that's womderful!

i guess no one should be surprised with the lack of consistency when it comes to the NRL.

I certainly feel less dirty admitting that the Steelers were better than my team this year.

Yeah, they had to make up for no premierships in 07 and 09. ;-)

As far as anyone is concerned, no matter what anyone (TV Commentator W@nker) has to say.

the bottom line is:

St George - Illawarra Dragons Defeated the Sydney Roosters

That's what happened.

That's how the record books shall show.

And the Illawarra is proud.

I guess that given that the NRL started in 1997 there have only been 14 premiers .... how pedantic do you want to be.

You f**kers will try anything to pull us down but up yours merkins we are the premiers and nothing you can say/do will change that or take away the joy.

The same Channel 9 that say Lockyer hold the record for most games for one club, using their logic with the Dragons, it should be Menzies!

Oh the inconsistency.
