Morris is a pretty boy who isnt a leader-he has shown to be a fit and hard worker but not a playmaker and leader-sad but true!

I think you will find that Morris yet again questioned Smiths tatics and well being dropped is something that happens to even the best player who questions anything whilst Smith runs the show

He was dropped earlier in the season for something very simular but ended up playing off the bench in which hardly anyone could work out why

You know this because...????

Were you there?

Hey Johnny Morris, you poor little diddums, instead of feeling sorry for yourself and sook about how unfair the world is... how about you have the balls to put your head down, work your guts out and get back into first grade ?

i knew i didn't like him!! hahaha (joking! joking! joking!!)
thats a pretty poor attitude tho,
"Since coming to the club I've been the only player to start every game.

"I've paid the price for our team going bad.

"I thought my form's been OK in a side that hasn't been going well.

Boo Hoo Johnny... You poor thing... NOT!!! I think this has been the problem with a select few of our players. In their own minds they think they are going good and until now, Smith hasnt told them otherwise so they dont bother to lift their games week in and week out. At least Smith got something right this week and precious little Johnny realises that there is room for improvement in EVERYBODY!

Gotta agree 100% with Nikki

Even if Parra lose on Sunday, by dumping Lesbian and Morris to reggies he has sent a message to all players to lift their games. Players that were on the egde like Wagon and Vella just got a big kick up the rump by seeing 6. A.Lesbian and 9. J.Morris lining up in reggies.

He would have achieved the same thing by dropping Wagon last year.

Morris (and Dykes) form slumped the second Smith stuffed aroud with the halves. While we all craved an attacking 5/8 to work with Dykes and Morris, who were playing very good football. Instead of bringing Thorman in o compliment them, he made Thorman a threat to them, by putting them on the bench for the Pommy.

At times v Melbourne it was as if Dykes and Morris were working against Thorman. Well, Smith did that, by making him a threat.

Both had been playing well up untin then.

I maintain that if we had a decent coach, we would probably have Morris, Dykes and Thorman all in first grade and playing to the peak of their ability!

I'm also saddened that people are quick to hang it on Morris - who has been one of our best consistantly since he came here. Never missed a first grade game, and always played his testicles off for us.

Couldn't agree more with both of those statements.

No one uttered a word about Morris until this week. (I'll stand corrected if there were one or two, but generally speaking)

He has been one of about three or four this year who has busted a gut week in week out.

And for the "if we had a better coach" comment.......that has been obvious for a season now. Motivation and spirit is sadly lacking.
Staleness has set in, which usually happens when a "Use By" date passes.

I thought Morris played well in some of our losses, but yeah the post by yy cheng hinting at too many cooks trying to organise probably hits the nail on the head.

Webster will just be out there to distribute ball, Wags will be in the pack to tackle, and this week its Witt and Thorman alone who will get the chance to mobilise the attack. This means the backline should know what's happening and be able to work off that.

Scapegoat maybe, but a few weeks in Reggies playing hooker with Dykes at 5/8 will remind Morris what he's there to do, so when he returns to firsts he can do it in style again, without trying too hard to cover the attacking faults of Dykes/Wags?
