Over the last 10 years I am well ahead in all my sports betting. The two best are League and Soccer where I continually clean up.

Pretty proud of my efforts:D

Cool story bro. Are you Sam 'Ace' Rothstein?

With the possible exception of a few markets on betfair, that statement is wrong

huhh? Bookies base their odds on punter habits. That's why you see odds shift when big money goes on one side, despite no change in line-ups or anything. Bookies take zero risks, they make sure they win whatever the outcome.

If suddenly every idiot started betting on the Panthers to make the 8, then every bookie out there would lower their odds accordingly, to make sure they're covered just in case. Nothing to do with the probability of the outcome but everything to do with the popularity of the bet.

Ah sorry, I misinterpreted your original post. I thought you were saying something along the lines of more popular teams (in terms of fans, not betting) would have shorter odds to reduce their risk with casual punters or something.

The best Sports punter in Australia is the bloke that put $500 on a Ryan O'Keefe & Cooper Cronk Norm Smith And Clive Churchill Medal double @ 92-1.

What a genius!!!
