Seibold is even worse than Fitzy
lol. Forgot to change the fontI’m fairly sure Shaggs was being sarcastic lol
If we hadn’t signed Fitz we could’ve had the opportunity to lock up Seibold. (FFS)It seems to me most people are very much being influenced by the last two performances in their assessment of Fitz as a coach and also using hindsight to criticise the decision to re-sign Nicho.
He and Finucane were astute signings to begin with. Nicho then had a blinder of a season at halfback, won the dally M and we finished second on the table.
1 mill a season was the going price for top line halves and Nicho had and continues to have more off field appeal than most players.
You can argue he hasn't delivered or has underperformed but the decision to re-sign him was the correct one.
Before he got to the club Fitz made it clear he was happy with the roster and the younger players coming through. With largely the same roster that bomber had he did improve the team's performance, got us to the finals every year, won a couple of finals and got us to two prelims.
This will clearly be a bit of a re-building year and it seems Fitzy has clocked the squad needs a freshen up.
He's not perfect but his performance to date has comfortably justified the extension he's been given.
For those that want him gone, who do you want him replaced with?
Good post but you cant have a rebuilding year with exactly the same roster. Next year is the rebuild. This year is the year they built for. The team either wakes up or stays stale and fades away. It could go either way.It seems to me most people are very much being influenced by the last two performances in their assessment of Fitz as a coach and also using hindsight to criticise the decision to re-sign Nicho.

That is probably fair enough but the fact the club allowed us to have so many players off contract at the same time suggests that this season will be used to give the incumbents and hopefully others in the mix an opportunity for 2027. I appreciate we haven't seen that yet though.Good post but you cant have a rebuilding year with exactly the same roster. Next year is the rebuild. This year is the year they built for. Any thoughts on the standards that the storm are currently meeting?I’ve seen absolutely nothing to suggest that this year will be any different from the last four under Fitzy. Same players, same tactics, same copy/paste shit every week
Titans game was an anomaly as we’ve done nothing since. In my opinion the Dolphins game was probably the worst game we’ve had under Fitz maybe on par with the Dragons game last year. The fact we’re still seeing that sort of performance from the team means nothing has changed at training and nothing has changed with what the coach sees as acceptable. Standards are in the bin therefore the players don’t feel threatened when they dish out absolute shite we saw last week
The Stain board is fun at the momentFlange must be close to getting the arse.
