India threaten tour pull-outs over DRS

India have again struck down the latest attempt to bring more consistency to the implementation of the DRS by threatening to pull out of any tour in which the host country insisted on using the technology.

India continuing to be ridiculously stubborn about this, threatening to pull out of a tour is just unbelievably arrogant. ICC as usual does nothing, some commenters suggesting overseas players should pull out of the IPL, which of course they never will as long as it pays up.

India is too big to push around. Noone will knock back India touring them over a fringe issue.

I guess its hard to influence the umpires if you are using the DRS.

f**k the DRS, it's a joke system that isn't close to 100% anyway. I wish they'd just let the umps do their job.

Why is it that India keep pushing against the DRS. Is it because it's a highly religious country and they would rather leave decisions in gods hands rather than in technologies hands?

threatening pull outs is lame, but their issues with DRS are valid. Plus, challenging umpires is something athletes simply are not supposed to do

Let them not have the DRS but hope that they're on the recieving end of plenty of howlers.

I hope there isn't any more howlers and I hope umpires are given the power to review instead of players, so if an umpire is unsure, he can check and if a player thinks he has been hard done by, he can deal with it because sometimes those things happen. It is never meant to be okay for a player to challenge an umpire. If you're given out, you go. If your wicket appeal is turned down, you shut up, get on with it and bowl the next ball. Children know how to do that, professional players should too

I actually saw a stat on cricinfo.

Overwhelmingly since they started with this, it's gone against India's favour. So many times they've had blokes out off inside edges or not had plumb LB's given out. It's something like a 75/25 split.

Really I don't know why they persist with their objections. It's been hurting them worse than their opponents.
