there are hundreds of rep selections every year for differnt age groups, schoolboy age groups, catholic school age groups etc. etc.

So just take the last 4 years. player is 16, 17, 18, 19 years of age
Thats over 400 selections.
where are they all Salmon?

Fair enough. But if we looked at the last 2 years,in the 17-18 year age bracket, I'm sure quite a few of them have had first grade experience. Bird is one of those 400 selections, I dont think its time to let him go just yet.

I knew it wasn't an exact quote.
I would never have said I was wrong about him.
Instead i was trying to find some positives in his game & managed to find one. As it seems the staff saw something we all didn't.
He does a have a left step. Thats where it ends unfortunately for him.
Aitken has left, right, back, spin , pass, duck & good defense.

Simmons = Is not your average choir boy. Put him on the RIGHT wing for 2 years, this one has a bright future.

Merrit = still yet to impress

Franze = Lucky we have Vagana, he is still struggling since the knee problem, shame really.

McGoldrick = hmmm....looked like a union player again, I would persist, but would consider a wing berth.

Kent = Looked solid, deserves another run.

Gallen = I rate him, as a back rower, specifically a second rower.

Sullivan = Never had a chance in the first 20 mins, however I have laid eyes on Aitken now.

Beattie = Will be better for the run.

Hilder = This guy is a 80 minute player, but where?

Nutley = Tried hard.

Isemonger = I am prefering him off the bench.

Galloway = Needs some time to harden up, probably in PL

Bailey = Looked lost without BK, second rower for mine.

Lomu = Dissappointing, but I would persist.

Bickerstaff = Bickers and Isemonger, only room for 1, Ice man for me.

Dumas = Would be playing lock in my side.

Aitken = f**k me, Rapes, what's doing? I will be very dissappointed if Aitken is not in first grade next week. BK is here for another couple of years, time to start the Kimmorley-Aitken combo.

Simmons - Pfft. I knew he was a good fullback. Its only one game, but he played well nonetheless.
Merritt - Still nothing.
Franze - And to think people wanted him in the team above McGoldrick...
McGoldrick - And to think people were ranting and raving about him last week...
Kent - Solid, but we already knew that.

Gallen - Solid, like always, but offers nothing as a five eighth. We can get away with it when Noddy is around.
Sullivan - Ugh. Please, never wear the 6 or 7 jersey again. We learnt that lesson last year, last night just reaffirmed it.

Bailey - Needed to show that you're a senior player, but failed dismally.
Galloway - No mongrel, but he went alright given the dour circumstances.
Isemonger - Back to his usual after deciding to play a ripper last week.
Nutley - Hard to fault a player who makes 30+ tackles and 20+ hitups.
Hilder - Not a hooker, but a damned fine player.
Beattie - Beats' time is up. I was once his biggest fan, but he's lost his punch.

Lomu - A strong effort.
Bickerstaff - Boring.
Dumas - Still hurting in defence. Find him a starting spot.
Aitken - Too green for first grade? Surely not.

Based on last night, and presuming that our injured players remain injured, here's my team for the panthers.

1. Simmons
2. Merritt
3. Bailey
4. McGoldrick
5. Kent
6. Hilder
7. Aitken
8. Stevens
9. Sullivan
10. Nutley
11. Gallen
12. Galloway
13. Dumas

14. Williams
15. Lomu
16. Bickerstaff
17. ?

yeah I fall victim to sully crticism too. I'm not wrong, like Dragon Slayer or McParkie wrong. But I'm doubting myself slightly.

How does Sully go when he has the same advantage as Noddy.

EG
How poor did Noddy look whilst Stevo was out. He was out of contention for Aus, Country & definitely origin.
How much does Stevo have to do with our half back looking good?

I was at Northies mate. I saw the blue spray jacket sitting over near the big screen in the Mango Jam end. You looked too busy with those ugly women mate, I was too busy talking to my mates and all the babes down near the dance floor.

You were quite sober, it was only 1.30 when I walked past. I said hi but you didn't hear me and I was in a hurry to get to the bar. What's the story on the barrings?
