So I was scrolling my social media and it said “BREAKING NEWS” and it’s just that Pearce broke his thumb but should be right for round 1. Pretty irrelevant news. ‍

Would this just about rule him out for the season? Bloody hell im sick of injuries.

Ah... Terrible news but at least we got some decent back up in the squad. Hopefully we get the bad luck out of the way early in the season and head strongly all fit deep into the finals.

Hard to be positive about injuries but I guess an injury weeks prior to season commencing is better than later, replacement has time to work with squad, fit in etc. player like Hoy who will likely replace Ponga gets a better feel for it filling in full time.

Our first 6 games are against teams that finished below us in 2020 with 4 of them in Newcastle and 1 on the Central Coast. Even without Ponga we should win most of these games.
