Injuries Update

Per 7 news tonight, No broken arm for bird plus possible surgery for Sua.
Footnote, excuse the pun, Birds leg was in a brace.
Here we have a couple of our guys who played the game with a lot of toughness on Anzac Day showing all at the SCG what it means to represent the club on a special day and playing with the right spirit. Bird and Su'a were without doubt great for us until injury took them out of the game in the early stages of the second half due to Bird colliding with Suaalii injuring his arm and Su'a through a tackle that bent him backwards injuring his ankle.

Had these two stayed on in the game, who knows how much better we would have won.

We will miss these two especially Su'a who looks like having surgery and will put him out for a considerable time. Bird hasn't broken his arm as you have said Henry but I wonder what's with his leg?

You could see Sua screaming in pain but "the clean skin" Tupou continued to try and bend him over JWH.

Well played Su'a & Bird.
The games score line would've been much greater in our favour, if not for the "dumped"referee Adam Gee. Tried his hardest to get those Rooters home.
5-1 six again to the chooks.
A lopsided penalty count.
And they still couldn't win.
So enjoy your weeks suspension Referee Adam Gee.Your performance was that bad, even Ainsley couldn't save you.

Mind you why does the bunker escape criticism from all of this ? Shocking decision on the head high and what about calling back & reviewing Suás try late.

The bunker seems to have no issues when they confirm obvious tries before a kick is taken, yet he had to notify the referee in this instance to show the viewing audience what he probably already saw a few times in his bunker that there was no touch by Lomax, just so the Dragon's supporters can have a panic attack that we might get shafted again.

The reffing of the so called lower teams has become a joke. They should band together and front the NRL that they won't cop it any longer. If the NRL won't do anything then hold a collective press conference and show all the inconsistencies, won't be too hard to find examples, publicly shame them.

Dead set right DP, Ashley Klein should have also got suspended, the one thing the bunker is not supposed to do is get influenced by the on field ref, thats bunker refereeing 101.

Can I just add the Roosters have done this before to some of our players when they've been playing well? They did it to Widdop on Anzac Day 2017 when he was killing it, Pearce (tried) to do it to Dugan in that same game... Robbo is a grub of a coach who has to rely on dirty tactics and Uncle Nick's money. It's not necessarily the 'top' teams that get the rub of the green - it's the richest.

Unbelievable ! As said already injuries do occur , but fortunately both have time to recover , although in King Togia’s Tonga’s case a jaw fracture will take an extended duration to heal completely .

Do hope that it does not ruin the young man’s confidence.
