80% tackle efficiency.
I think Jack would be one of our targets for sure.. someone I think Knights wanted gone.. is definitely a hard hard hard man.. fearless.. his discipline/suspensions are his main issues.

Note: Jack is 28.5yrs old, 6'3 and 107kg.

I just checked his 2024 stats (his efficiency cant be 80%, he would be kicked out of 1st grade!), he missed 23 out of 317, which is 93% efficiency.. which is fine.. its not the best but its not the worst..

While I have the calculator out, he made around 16 tackles in an average 27 mins per game, in attack he averaged 73m per game (not great though he doesnt do huge minutes), he averages 9.9m per run though.. that is pretty elite.. so clearly quality in his runs... in 20 games played he had 8 Penalties and 3 Errors.

The team we had for 2024 was more or less Hook's team. The 2024 team was the team that Hook had put together. Now with Molo possibly gone, we can say that the house is cleaned. Hook's era is finished. There are still few guys that Hook hired like Liddle, Suli and Sua and M Molo. However, they all got better under Flanno last year except for M Molo. The rest of the team is home grown or strategic buys by Flanno. We can finally say the house is cleaned. I think Flanno's top 17 will be as follows:

1. Gutho
2. Sloane
3. Suli
4. Holmes
5. Allen
6. Flanno Jr
7. Ilias
8. Sele
9. Liddle
10. JDB
11. Sua
12. Leilua
13. Eisenhuh

14. Cook
15. Faitala
16. Toby Couchman
17. Ryan Couchman

18, Tui

Lawrie, Rawa and M Molo who have played FG in the past, won't make it to FG this year unless there are major issues. Lawrie maybe given a chance because he is club junior and we are short with middle forwards. But he has to train hard and get back his 2023 form.

My bolters for the year are Dylan Egan, LKT and LPT.

I reckon Christian Tuipulotu will start wing in place of Sloan.

My personal preference is Sloan. I reckon Sloan can emulate what Lomax did last year. Sloan is 10kg heavier this year. So he won't be pushover. So if Sloan has solved his defensive issues, he will be first choice.

If there is a problem with one of our wingers then Tui will come in and Fegai will move to 18th man.

Thought he was good for the knights last year

Sloans injured anyway, and with Flanno saying CT has the inside running.. id be leaning towards CT+Finau.. the spots are there to be taken during the rest of pre-season and trials..

Feel like Lawson maybe has to play some cup games first.. but he wont be far behind..

NFI about Allan and Feagai, I rly think atleast 1 of them (if not both) will be training @ctr where we have real problems with our depth.

Sloan will get his chance no doubt, but he’ll have to grab it with both hands this time, I reckon Flano isnt mucking around anymore.

Flano mentioned 2 clubs for the 2 players he is after in the next 2 weeks, Brisbane and Knights.

Not like Flanagan to actually mention the clubs where he is targeting players.
Agree with some posts that Hetherington from the Knights could be a player of interest.
As far as the Broncos are concerned, hope it is someone like Kobe Hetherington we are looking at.
Maguire has said he wants to keep him, but there must be a bit of salary cap pressure with the signing of Hunt.
No interest in Corey Jensen or Fletcher Baker.

Two Hetheringtons and two Couchmans on-field at the same time, passing the ball back and forth! But seriously this would be a quartet with plenty of cardio endurance (Jack is going on 29 but Kobe is 26) - allowing us to play a more mobile, faster style. Frank Molo didn't play that style.

I cannot believe that Flanigan would casually say to fans that he’s targeting 2 players, one from Broncos and one from Knights.
In what world does he say that?

It wouldn't be secret information to the parties involved. Flanno might even see it as adding pressure to the negotiations.
