I dont think Sloans any guarantee, especially now that CT has been confirmed as 1 of the 2.. plus Sloan has had what 2 injuries now.. cant be helping his preparation.

A lot depends I feel on trials and how we start the season.. but there is a wing spot up for grabs.. I'd say its between Finau & Sloan, with Lawson to prove himself in Cup initially.

Just mathematically I think Feagai and Allan have to be training to cover centres in NSW Cup.. we dont need more backup wingers.. but if we get any centre injuries we are literally toast.. there is no specialist centre behind Suli/Holmes.

Rav played left wing on friday in the 2s, so that looks correct, CT looked very sharp on the left.

The team we had for 2024 was more or less Hook's team. The 2024 team was the team that Hook had put together. Now with Molo possibly gone, we can say that the house is cleaned. Hook's era is finished. There are still few guys that Hook hired like Liddle, Suli and Sua and M Molo. However, they all got better under Flanno last year except for M Molo. The rest of the team is home grown or strategic buys by Flanno. We can finally say the house is cleaned. I think Flanno's top 17 will be as follows:

1. Gutho
2. Sloane
3. Suli
4. Holmes
5. Allen
6. Flanno Jr
7. Ilias
8. Sele
9. Liddle
10. JDB
11. Sua
12. Leilua
13. Eisenhuh

14. Cook
15. Faitala
16. Toby Couchman
17. Ryan Couchman

18, Tui

Lawrie, Rawa and M Molo who have played FG in the past, won't make it to FG this year unless there are major issues. Lawrie maybe given a chance because he is club junior and we are short with middle forwards. But he has to train hard and get back his 2023 form.

My bolters for the year are Dylan Egan, LKT and LPT.
We need to offload F Molo, M Molo, Lawrie, and 2025 Bentley Flying Spur MullinerRava urgently. If we do this that is 4 spots made available in the top 30.

With Guler signing, it is clear that Flanno is playing his cards closer to his chest. Guler signing was confirmed by the Club, so it must have been done at least 10 days ago. All media talk on the past 10 days was about Lodge and young Ackers. While the media was on a wild goose chase, -Guler was signed. So now club is starting to operate like Sharks, Dogs, Panthers.

The Raiders release would potentially remove the 10 day backflip clause

Posted this in the signings thread in reply to a question re Flanno's preferred 'types' . Probably better placed here:

Yes, personality. I think there is a recurring pattern: guys who are team players, relatively less egotistical than average who have something to prove. In psychological / personality-type terms I think he prefers players who are ‘other centered’, especially those who have a redemption-story aspect. I think this is probably a function of his own (and possibly Kyle’s) life experiences, especially in the RL realm. He‘s intolerant of guys who are apparently somewhat self-focused or, for whatever reason, are less internally ‘driven’ (eg; those who believe they’re already ‘great’ or are interested in individual sporting achievements like boxing).
