I’m looking for next year.

Junior should be back on deck so far as his penalties go.

It took him a little while, but Tyrone May has come good with his heartfelt statements of remorse in relation to being a convicted sex pervert.

I saw an interview with Junior last year, he didn’t make any statements of remorse which was disappointing.

I think Flanno would get something out him character wise given his own troubles. He wouldn’t have the job if he hadn’t owned up to that rule breach.
I cannot stomach the idea of Junior playing for our club.

I am starting to dislike the coach also after his latest comments and banning Christian from try celebrations.

what is this make everyone miserable tactics? Like that is going to get the best out of players

No to hammer angry boy with no remorse

No to Flanno not backing his players publicly

I've had the time to think about the "miserable" policy @Gardenia has suggested we consider. It was a a good point.

On the back of a game you had well won, my bet is that they didn't follow his real time game instructions and I think that is what is really upsetting him.

They either:

a. Ignored or tampered with his advice or
b. Couldn't actually do what he asked them to do.

And given the head start you had, as they gained the momentum, he would have been barking out orders left right and center for the entire back end of the game.

So I think that is the root cause of his agony and rightly or wrongly he reflected that back onto the players.

I agree with @Gardenia about Junior, but the people who make these decisions, they don't really care.

I said I might be leaving WT if Taylan May turns up. The membership goes at the very least.

It can burn if this what we stand for. Id rather get the spoon again than support DV.

Flanno Lost His Brain, shit me.
I know he wants to win.
Maybe this kid is incredibly good at training but cant do it game day
Probably the reason Cook said to Flanno this kid has something
Probably the Reason Flanno lost his Brain.
Flanno has had a pretty difficult job since taking over from Griffin:
He still does not have a good recruitment manager or GM of football. In addition, he is starting with an inferior roster sitting in the low 6 positions on the ladder. The Bard needs to rectify this situation in season 2025 to prepare the way in 2026 and beyond.

The player market has been a bit of a damp squid as well.

I love that Horsborough guy at the slimers. He would solve a lot of problems for you.

But … who at StGI has suggested Junior Amone could return to play for the club? I’ve been known to be wrong occasionally (as my wife likes to remind me on a daily basis) but surely there’s a snowflake’s hope in hell of this ever happening.
Hay mate I have one of those at home too and she even now what I'm thinking , yours must be "broke" if it's not doing both 😭

With respect Gardenia, I think you are getting worked up over nothing regarding Amone.
Nobody thinks he’s ever coming back to dragons. Nobody at the club has mentioned his name since he left.
It was just some totally bizarre comment from the tigers supporter that he’s even being discussed. His career is done with us.
Regarding Flano coaching techniques, I can see your point, he’s not perfect. But the positives out way the negatives at this stage IMO. I’m invested in Flano for the long term, if he can’t get us up the ladder then I don’t know who will.
We should bounce back, the bye may be what we needed, a couple of weeks to reset, reality check and come back better.

It’s not bizarre at all, there’s plenty of precedents for bad guys getting back into the NRL and the NRL is more than happy to provide the leave pass for a lot of them.

You couldn’t say for sure and certain he isn’t coming back, nobody can.

The club hasn’t said he is banned forever or anything remotely like that.

He is a genuine footy talent despite being an imbecile and a genuine young dickhead.

I’m not just a Tigers supporter, I’m a Tigers member and I’ve been following the Junior story since I came across it.

If I was a betting man, in all of the circumstances, I’d say there’s at least a 50/50 chance of him making a return for SGI sometime in the next 2 years.

As he’ll get the leave pass, the reality is that he doesn’t have a life ban, it’s going to be you guys…or another club.

It’s a heavy rug to lift to sweep under, but i can sense the forklifts approaching. Vlandys and co will carry on that he’s served his time etc. Turn into a victim.

Like Mam.

A 50/50 chance of Amone returning for SGI in next 2 years?
Why would we bring back a mediocre half that hasn’t played footy for years?
Forget the fact that he had his previous contract torn up.
There is a difference between this and the Ezra Mam situation, Mam is a very good footballer, Amone is not.

Agreed Crush. I can see Flanno's frustration. But these players need to also take responsibility for their performances. As far as the try celebrations go, I don't have an issue with it. Do the celebrations once we've got the basics right and performing better. At the moment it's a distraction on the field that we don't need. Once we are more consistent and winning, then throw in the celebrations. At this stage, strip it right back.

I think Flannos comments are a storm in a teacup. I tend to agree with him, Illias isn't comfortable in the team yet. He's had a year our of the game and still needs time to click with the spine etc. Cook played poorly too (amongst others).

I’ll give the whole thing in, cancel Kayo, get Stan sports and become a union fan.
Crush, you know I respect you.
I'm going to give you an insight into "Shane's brain".
He's a terrific coach when it comes to defence, toughness, and the outside world.
He's terrible at attack and bringing through young players.

There's a podcast about, I think it may be the James Graham one where one of the Sharks players from 2016 expla8n how the spine ran the attacking drills, because Flanno asked them to do it.
We had Ennis, Maloney, Barba and Chad setting up and structuring each play.
Compare that to what you have got now.
If Flanno is letting his spine direct all training and drills, which is what he did at the Sharks, then you will struggle to be a main player.
Hate Ben Hunt as much as you want, he was the only player in the spine who gave direction. He did not have "the others" like the Sharks, and Flanno, did in 2016.

That is where Shane's brain is at.

Thus far this season, our attack looks much more dangerous than previous seasons, more potent than Hunt ball.
The problem is, our defence is still deplorable.
Fix the defence and we will be fine.
