Sure. It's just a camera following them around in camp, showing the preparation, the interaction with the coach, the psyching up before the games. Along with the final this afternoon, more valuable exposure for the code on one of the two principal Qatari owned BeIN Sport channels beamed to millions of french on a cold and miserable day.

The French will come good. They have a professional team but probably only around 17 professional Frenchman. Hopefully in 10 years they will have in the 50- 70 range which will make them a lot more competitive.

They looked desperately in need of someone who could coach to me. A talented side who lacked..something. Smarts, direction, a sane game plan.

I thought Agar could speak French just seems like a waste of time explaining everything twice?
Also what was the deal with Trent Robinson being over for the New Zealand game, business or pleasure?

Why or how the hell Agar got the gig is beyond me. Real pity that Robinsons workload couldnt allow him to take charge at least for the cup and leave a legacy for a french management to be put in place.

There have been a few mystifying appointments.. Bobbie Goulding, David Waite and now Agar....

for mine the best France have performed is when they had a Francophone coach.. remember Mick Aldous? He was appointed caretaker coach and ended up being their most succesful of recent memory. A bit like Tas Baiteri i think - Aussie who ended up loving France, spoke French, and spent a lot of time building their confidence, and instilling into them the ethos of 'rugby gagner'

The weird appointments are probably linked to budget constraints. I doubt ESL or NRL coaches are lining up to coach the French so they take the best they can get for the very little money they have to offer. I know for a fact approx what one of the younger french blokes is on with the Dragons and it would make australians laugh.
