Recieved an email today from my employer to say Intergrated ticketing is no longer for regular season games at ANZ.
Likewise the supporter trains are no more.
Seems like the NRL and/or clubs didn't want to pay up.

poor result for fans. Brisbane are the best at doing event transport. Sydney has no idea , actually it's fairly embarassing on an international level.

Internationally it's not to bad , but certainly by Aus standards it's disappointing.

True , I draw my comparisons with most of my NFL and NBA experiences. For instance I went to the Houston Texans , from downtown you had 3 reasonable options from downtown which is 8miles south of downtown Houston..

1.Tram it from downtown . 1 line and ran regularly and was cheap.
2. Park at the stadium . Min $30.
3. Uber, designated drop off and pick up points . 100s of ubers just waiting there to collect you after the game. Fast and efficient with out the Sydney style scrum to get out of the stadium precinct.

Though Brisbane sets the benchmark of any stadium I've been too. Great efficient free transport to and from the stadium to all the major westfield shopping centres in Brisbane.

In comparison Sydneysiders are required to take 2 trains which just ruins the fan experience. Not to mention driving the route is hellish no matter the time or day.

2 connections to Levi Stadium for the 49ers. Caltrain to Mountain View and VTA light rail to Levi Stadium. Well over an hour but it is Santa Clara. Like that the VTA has free wifi. Caltrain is ordinary.

Geez no wonder the games going soft. Can't have a fan having to catch public transport. Totally ruins the "fan experience". ROFL.

The issue here is the government have the ability to run trains but they choose not to.

Why have large numbers take 2 trains when they could take 1

Just a update, only Parramatta home games will have the rail integrated ticketing for ANZ.

Does the same happen for AFL teams so a govt cost saving measure? Or is it just a NRL cost saving measure?

EDIT: Read the Swans website. Seems people need to pay to get to the ground there as well, so I presume it's onyl going to be stuff like the Easter Show from now on in. So I would presume it's a NSW Govt thing that they want to raise more revenue.

Someone has to pay for the footy stadium upgrades.

They only difference is in England they manage to pack out stadiums week in week out without having to concern themselves with how people attend.
The point here was to try and make it easier and cheaper for fans to attend and boost attendances something English and European football aren't really bothered about.
For me the $6 return is neither here nor there but for a family when it's getting up towards $20 it might.

Public transport included in ticket.
Ahhk read the title wrong I thought it was that and something else.

Pretty sure they stopped that with Souths last year? It sucks but not the end of the road but again disappointing the NRL is too cheap to continue on. Typical though I mean what do we really expect?

Stopped using public transport when they cut the Newcastle to ANZ/Easter Show direct services
