Ashley Cole said about three months ago Manure are better then Inter?

Inter are very inconsistant, but Manure were lucky against Southampton and Everton.

I will disscuss later.

Whats the deal with comparing Inter and Utd?

I support both teams in their respective leagues, to me Inter can beat anyone on their day but their line up is too unsettled and their performances too inconsistent.

You can't really rate Man Utd by the last two performances. After a season of playing 4-2-3-1, we've suddenly gone back to 4-4-2 to accomodate Saha. Add in the fact that Rio has just started his ban and that Brown, his replacement, has only just come back from injury and is still obviously regaining his form. So at the moment we're at a period of transition.

The sign of a champion team is the ability to win games when they aren't playing well and probably don't deserve to win. And that's something that Man Utd have excelled at over the last decade.

To be fair to Brown, when Rio was injured at the beginning of last season the combination of Brown and Silvestre was great, arguably even better than the Rio/Silvestre combination that we've used since then. So if he can get back to that form we should be fine.

It's interesting. Rio gets injured when he first joins us and Brown is fantastic, then just as Rio gets back Brown gets injured. Now Brown comes back just as Rio is suspended. They must be destined to never play consistently together at the same time. :(

All this rubbish about not playing well and winning. Its alright occassionally, not when your defence is as leaky as a sieve and you put 3 crap performance in a row in. Catches up with you like the Boro game.

It's not rubbish. Over the last decade, there can be no doubt that we've been the best team in the world at winning games that we don't deserve to. Sure, we can't do it all the time (recent games against Wolves and Boro showed that), but the points that we do accumulate add up and are often the difference at the end of the day.

As much as it pains me to say it, we are no longer the beautiful free-flowing attacking force that we used to be. Keane is not the player he used to be, and isn't capable of playing as the lone defensive midfielder anymore. So we've started playing with a 2nd defensive midfielder at the expense of a striker. Ever since we started doing that (the transistion started 2 seasons ago and was perfected this season) we've been a more boring side to watch, grinding out matches 1-0.

We've gone back to that attacking gungho mentallity in the last three games where we go out to score more than the opponent put past us. It worked the first two times, but we came undone against Boro.

Why didnt they sign another defender? City were able to get Van Buyten on loan, so surely Man U would be able to get one...

Difficult to get defenders during January...most of the good one's were cup tied, thats why, united looked at Gareth Southgate.

On paper, Inter have a side that most supporters would dream about. I mean look at this:

Toldo;

Materazzi, Cannavaro, Cordoba;

J.Zanetti, Emre, Stankovic, Van Der Meyde;

Adriano, Vieri, Recoba;

That is a top quality side, whichever way you look at it. I will never understand why they cant put it all together. Definately an unexplained mystery...
