Why is it by the 60th min in quite a few matches this season we have nearly used all out interchange's up???? Last night we had used 9 and Manly only 8 and they had all those injury's???? Guys like Wagon, Hindy and Robbo are all meant to be all 80 mins players.

I thought the recuced interchange would be a positive for us??? but ATM it looks like's a hinderance. Maybe we aren't fit enough i'm not sure. And last night for the first half we had nearly all the ball and the last 10 mins of the game we looked out on our feet while Manly had all the running. Well anyway just something else that bugged me about last night.

I think Mick is still struggling to find the perfect way to use the interchanges with the new rules.

gotta agree - i was a bit puzzled that we only had one left with about 20 minutes to play

altho maybe its understandable manly had more - cos they had no players to bring on

Timing our run on in for the end of the season. More like me grasping at straws thinking this. Wishful thinking.

Id hazzard a guess its because your behind. Hagan is trying to turn the game by sticking fresh cattle on.

I brought this up last week...and it didn't get any better this week I have to say...I don't get it, when we have all these workhorses, why we should use so many so early

Barring injury I think we should be looking to make just 2-3 interchanges in the first half. Leave plenty in the 2nd and try to finish over our opponents.

Interchange Caylo and Fui after about 20, then leave it at that the rest of the half if possible.

i think you have hit the nail on the head. maybe we need to look at our fitness trainer, not so much the coach????
i think so too i remember in one game (cowboys?) the commentators said how tired the eels looked this was after just 15 MINUTES!
if they can get knocked up that quickly how the hell are they supposed to get through a whole game?

One theory
Could be we try and be fresher in the first 60 by using up all the replacements, make (try to) the opposition tackle and get tired, then last 20min we should be right regardless if they have replacements left cause the horse has already bolted by then :sarcasm:

am I clutching at straws? :?
