Interchanges

There are still a few probs with interchanges. Generally everyone is getting them right, but let's take the time to iron out the last remeining hassles.

FIRSTLY, as of Round 3, every player on the inertchange bench must be used. About half the comp is using the best 3 interchanges. It's only fair that 4 are used.

SECONDLY you can't use an interchange to swap players positions on the field. I'm not a mathematical genius, soI can't change the sim to make that happen!

FINALLY I'll restate the format that you should present.

If your interchange bench is thus:

Price
O'Reilly
Jurd
Kenny

then submit your plan like this:

1st m: Nil
20th m: Price assist,O'Reilly front
40th m: Kenny halves, Jurd front
60th m: Price left, Jurd right

SOme coaches think they have to replace a specific player, and run them backon. IN the CRL, bench players are an add on, like a boost for that particular part of the team.

Some coaches are also putting interchange players in the "middle". There is no "middle". I can only assume that you mean "Front", and that's where I have been putting them. Those that have put players in the middle AND front have had both of them at the 'Front' position.

And finally, re GAME PLANS, you cannot order a part of your team to attack and defend simultaneoulsy. Such a command will cancel each other out, and that part of your team will do neither.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

So you can do more than one interchange at once?
I notice in the 20th minute in the example you gave you have both Price and O'Reilly coming on. Can you do more than 2 at once?

You can put up to 4 on at once. Can't put all 6 until the NRL allows player cloning LOL!

How about as of rnd 1. You are right its not fair As I have it in god faith that all 4 are to be used and 2 are used twice.

In the 20th min Price is Boosting the assists and O'reilly is boosting the Front Row

Go get 'em Rabs :D

Rabs, in my very first game a few years ago, I was confused and thought I could bring someone on from the bench into one position (or group), and in doing swap a utility player aready on the field into another position or group! But that's too complex to be able to be factored into the game simulation.

So as is being said:
* interchange acts as a boost to that group of players you indicate (either your front row, left side, right side, assist, or halves) - no one comes off.
* you must use all four bench players, and can make a total of six interchange boosts through the course of a game. (So two bench players have to be used twice, or one three times.)
* you can make between 0 and 4 interchanges per quarter, within the total of six per game.
