Well lets say as reports are true Brownny is coach next year
Brownny is the golden child at StGeorge - what he wants he gets
Mundine is due for World Title Fight next year in Feb i think
Yes here we are putting the pieces together
Brownny is great mates with Choc
Choc left cause he thought it was getting too much in Illawarra;s favour
Dragons are back at Kogarah
Our history is on the agenda
Just a thought and a bloody top one at that!

Rumours, rumours and more rumours...

I knowAndrew Farraris popular with the players but the chain of command doesnt dictate that we a need a popular coach.

To say the writing is on the wall for the coach is an understatement. Its unfortunate because imo, the issue is more complicated than just blaming the season on one man.

But coaches, like players, come and go and its all part of the big script and the reality is that there are better options out there.

Saints will have to play their best game of the year to win on Sunday and make the semis... even better than their win over the Warriors.
If they lose, so does the coach.

With the restructuring of the lower grades in 2003, it look like Nathan Brown will be on the short list for the top grade, leap-frogging Mick Potter- it would be a huge promotion for Brownie so I'm reticent to call it just yet.

As for Mundine... well, we'll have to wait and see.
Stoney said that when Mundine offered himself to play earlier this year, half the supporters threatened to burn the club down if we didnt sign him while the other half threatened to burn the club down if we did sign him... an exaggeration offcourse but a humourous dilemma.

In today's paper Brownny said you can't rule out choc returning
Browny said that choc sent him a message saying "congrats cuz and do you want me to make a comeback"
Brownny also said that when choc wins a world title he expects him to return to football - possibly in 2004!
Benny was on the right track!

Did anyone read in the paper today about what Brown said about choc- Benny was on the righrt track
From today's Sunday Telegraph - page 59!
In the article by Cameron Bell
Brown also indicated that he wouldn't be suprised to see Anthony Mundine back at the club one day. "He
sent me a text message saying 'Congratulations Cuz, do you want me to make a comeback?" "Choc
has big plans in boxing but i've always said once he wins a world title he'll play league again whether it's
in one or three years" "As a player, he's someone every club would like to have"
Go Brownn

Well done Benny.

Its good to bump up the old discussions to see how close forummers were to the mark. I was looking back over months of subject matter on a similar theme and there was a consistent belief...
Brownwill be the coach.
Blacklock will be back.
Mundine will be back.

One out of three so far.
Indications are that Blacklock will see out his NSWRU contract until the end of 2003... it all still remains to be seen.
In addition it seems that Mundine will be seeking out a return sometime in 2003.

The history issue will be on the agenda next year. With ex-players like Brown, Barnhill and Jeff Hardy running the team and CEO's like Robert Stone running the Football club, it appears that the reclaiming of the history is no longer a pipe dream.

The fact is, we have Kogarah and we have Saints regaining some of the St George identity. It all goes to show that if the will is there, anything can be achieved.

It would be great to have the boys back but where would we find the $$$.
I can't see the currantplayers taking a paycut to accommodate 2 ex players who left mid season basically for more money elsewhere.

Buddley: Saints are tight arses. They are now more than ever before... ask any taxi driver. ;)

If Choc and Tingha came back it would be because they wanted to and were willing to fit into the cap. We'll have to wait and see.
